The Federation doesn't care what happens on the galaxy's fringe, but a ship that wants to travel back into the safer core systems needs clean credentials. That's where you come in! Earn the trust of The Federation by sending ships that have cleared credentials, exposing counterfeit credentials, and reporting wanted individuals to the Federation Police. Send too many uncleared ships and you'll lose the trust of The Federation, and your access to the core systems, leaving you with a warp gate and nowhere to send ships!
