Why Early Access?

“Cosmic Raze has a huge variety of interactions between different systems, and those interactions can be unique in every game.

The wide and unexpected variety of builds players will be able to give feedback about will help me to adjust, redesign and create new powers, weapons, and enemy behaviors.

Defining a base difficulty from player feedback will also be instrumental in designing the higher difficulty levels that are planned to be added in Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This will be a short Early Access period, and I plan for it to last only about 2-3 months, but it will go for as long as needed based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to plans for balance changes, bug fixes, and additional audio and visual polish, I also plan to add:

• An additional enemy faction
  
• More augments (passive modifiers that can change your builds)
  
• More difficulty levels
  
• More achievements

User feedback, and unpredictable life events may change these plans, but I hope to keep the community updated about any such changes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current game is fully playable from start to finish, but not all of the planned upgrades, enemies, and difficulty levels have been implemented. Expect bugs, and unfinished audio and visual effects.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to make a very small small price increase at the end of Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback on the Steam Forums and the FromLefcourt Discord will be instrumental in helping me design content, while also smoothing out balance, and the game's difficulty curve.

Player feedback can alter the interactions between upgrades and systems, reshape how established abilities work, and help me to create new content to fill better enabled preferred player strategies.”
