Volkolak: The Will of Gods (Demo) is a 2D Soulslike Metroidvania in a dark Slavic fantasy setting. The action takes place in the Far-away State, a vast, rich world of medieval times for exploration. After the ominous curse of the necromancer Koschei the Immortal, its inhabitants go mad and turn into evil. The protagonist will have to fight his minions using a deep combat system.

Game Features

• Classic Metroidvania with side-scrolling 2D action.

• Traditional 2D frame-by-frame animation in dark style.

• In the course of the game, the player is faced with a choice: stay human or take the path of the ancient Gods and become a Volkolak.

• The gameplay is based on the mechanics of becoming a Volkolak* (lycanthropy). As a werewolf, you can gain additional abilities.

• Learn new skills and abilities that will unlock your way to secret places and unique locations.

• Explore a world inspired by Slavic mythology.

• During combat, you need to rely on your weapons and weapon skills. There is a parry system is present in the game. And in the form of Volkolak, transformations and magic are actively used. As you upgrade your skills, additional abilities will be unlocked that will give you an advantage in battle.

A connected world full of mysticism, creatures, and mystery.

Volkolak: The Will of Gods (Demo) is a world inspired by Slavic mythology and fairy tales. A dark fantasy universe as an interpretation of man's greatest fears. The dark atmosphere immerses the player in the unusual perception of Slavic legends, as we are not used to see them.
