Miksi Early Access?

We would like to engage the community and get feedback to iterate on the game to release the best possible final release.

We're hoping for a period of between 5-8 months, giving enough time to finish all planned content and iterate on feedback.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan to have:
- a campaign for every faction (only the first will have one at the launch of EA)
- 3 factions
- new mode, Escalation, for higher stake local multiplayer matches
- new mode, Global Domination, for a more long term, 4x like experience
- lots more gameplay modifiers, like Tornadoes and Blood Moons, to spice up matches
- more maps and interactables

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

We have at EA release:
- two factions, the U.C.F. and Chromatech
- The tutorial and campaign for the U.C.F.
- A variety of Skirmish maps to play against the AI or friends in Local Multiplayer
- A variety of Wave Defence maps to play solo or coop vs waves of enemies
- Endless War mode, a roguelike take on Wave Defence where you get modifiers and fight against endless procedurally generated waves for a high score.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Yes, during EA we'll have it at a lower price due to having much less content. On full release we'll be updating the price to account for having much more content.

Ideally you would join our Discord, although Steam discussion also works. Please let us know what is bad so we can make it good, and what you like so we can make it better! Also ideas for new content is always welcome.

Welcome to D.O.T. Defence, a simplified yet deeply strategic RTS experience that seamlessly blends accessibility with tactical depth. We offer a simplified economy system, massive automated battles with light command, and a fun simplified upgrade system. Play in short bursts as matches last between 5-10 minutes!

The only objective is to protect your HQ and destroy the enemies! Crafted by developers passionate about the genre, this game delivers a nostalgic experience reminiscent of their childhoods.

Turret Mayhem

Your regions are the beating heart of your economy; defend them against hordes of enemies vying to seize your resources with a variety of turrets. Each turret presents a strategic choice, so mix and match wisely, and sell as needed based on the challenges you'll encounter!

Wave Defence

Protect your HQ at all costs by building turrets and production buildings for heavy defense. While Skirmish mode offers a novel RTS experience, try your hand at Wave Defence. Here, you'll expand your territory gradually, gather supplies to upgrade regions, and strategically place turrets everywhere to face surprising and unique enemies! You might be visited by a merchant who offers unique tile mods to enhance your buildings!

Commander Fantasy

Take command with broad-stroke or macro orders. Set paths for units or let them autonomously capture crucial points. In D.O.T. Defence, simplicity meets strategy!

Engage in Local Multiplayer Mayhem

Gather friends for intense 1v1, 2v2, or free-for-all battles, where every decision counts. Whether you're a seasoned strategist or new to the genre, D.O.T. Defence offers thrilling gameplay that scales to your skill level. We offer AI to at varying difficulties (and yes one cheats!).
