Why Early Access?

“The game is at a playable state but still far from our intended goal. The early access allows us to bring the game into the player's hand to get a preview of what is to come and provide us with valuable feedback and criticism. We're hoping to use this opportunity to continue on with development while keeping some transparency and steering the development towards the fan's wishes.”

“Given what we aim to achieve with the project, we are expecting a release by the end of 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version aims to offer varying game modes both online and offline as well as endless modes for those wishing to come back for more. Our goal is to offer an online game mode with progression and continuous support, Campaigns for players to delve into the world of Warcoven and its lore, and procedural modes for the ones who always seek more content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Warcoven consists of the Arcade mode where players can experience the combat against one another in peer to peer 1v1 matches or offline against an computer opponent. The current state does not include any progression or persistent data and all units are free to be used. This state will change after we are satisfied with the turn based combat of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase as we add content and finalize the features of the game. One of our main goal is to offer a free online version of the game after the release with more offline content as downloadable content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community can join the discord server to provide their feedback or suggestions directly to the team.”
