Legion & Tavern is a single-player tactical auto-battler about building a company and leading it through a three-act expedition. Choose your commander, plan your formation, and watch your squads fight automatically—with tactical pause giving you time to intervene when the battle turns.

Begin with six squads and grow toward an army of up to 32 active squads, supported by reserves. Recruit new troops, train individual squads, and choose between two promotion paths. Combine distinct unit types to activate faction bonuses, then strengthen your strategy with relics.

Your decisions continue on the battlefield. Position your company before combat, inspect enemy threats, and spend limited command points to shield allies, focus attacks, or reposition squads. Pause to consider your next order, then resume and see your plan unfold.

Between battles, choose your route and decide where to spend your gold. Visit merchants for recruits, training, and relics, or recover Resolve at camp. Stronger enemies offer richer rewards, but each defeat brings your expedition closer to its end—and a boss stands at the close of every act.
