About This Game

THE LAKE LADY is a story-driven horror game grounded in reality.

The river took everything from Salvio. Five years after a flood leaves his daughter missing, he returns to his hometown as a doctor to investigate HongQiang Hospital. A guarded childhood friend, uneasy colleagues, missing children, and the forbidden Ward Nine point to a truth the hospital has kept buried.

Meet more than ten characters with secrets of their own: a lost young girl, a mother consumed by grief, an old friend with regrets, and powerful people whose motives are hard to read. Each holds part of the truth. Come to understand them, challenge their stories, or see events through their eyes.

• Choices and story paths intertwine. One playthrough cannot reveal everything.

• A clue found on one path may change how you understand another. Follow your convictions as you persuade others, find crucial items, piece together the truth, and escape danger.

• Step into the story through surgery sequences, talisman rituals based on the Five Elements, and side-scrolling exploration and escape.

• Fictional forbidden rituals draw on traditional culture. Surreal imagery and a shifting score carry the story from uneasy calm to sudden terror.
