Varför Early Access?

“We are doing early access because we want players to help us decide what levels to add, provide input on the game, and help us select what collectables we should add. We will have steam discussions with everyone who wants to engage with us during early access to help make the best collectathon platformer out there.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“The game will be in early access once it is feature complete. We want to have it in early access for at least 3 to 6 months. It may be in early access longer if we get a huge amount of community feedback as we want to consider everyones ideas.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“We want to achieve our goal of making a fun voxel platformer and collectathon with lots of bite sized levels that everyone can enjoy. There is a classic gamer difficulty mode to the game and a easier mode without game overs. We want to have everyone in the early access process help us make the best possible platformer, with their feedback. It would be awesome to have people help us decide new moves for Big Jay and ideas for cool levels.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The game has 5 levels currently, we want to aim for at least 10. What we do for the theme of the remaining levels will be decided by the community. Big Jay's is currently a fun platformer with bite sized levels and a some fun platforming mechanics with the fat rat himself Big Jay.”

“No the game will be the same price in early access as release.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“I want as much input from the community as they provide. There will be open steam discussion threads and we will take any feedback seriously.”

Big Jays Rattastic Adventure is a 3D mascot platformer game with tons of collectibles. Every level can be finished without collecting anything, but the more stuff you grab, the better grade you get at the end of each level. Unlock more levels and stuff by getting higher grades. Big Jays Rattastic Adventure features a unique retro look through it’s voxel models.

You play as Big Jay the fattest cheese loving gray rat that exists trying to get back his stolen cheese. You run, jump, and attack your way through 12 levels. Each level has a minimum of 3 golden cheeses to collect. Jump on giant bouncy mushrooms, ring shooters, and more to fly through the air. Hit speed pads for a stackable speed boost to clear huge jumps and large distances.

Big Jay can attack enemies in your path to help clear the way for you. You attack by throwing your bottle of “wheat juice”. Each level has an end boss or challenge/puzzle to complete.

Big Jays Rattastic Adventure has optional graphical shaders to give you an added retro feel if wanted.

AI was used to assist in some of the music creation and pitch correct some of the level tracks for the game. All training assets for the music are assets we made for previous games or licensed for this purpose.
