About This Game

You are a Gemwielder, capable of controlling ancient artifacts called Gembearers. Powerful by themselves, only by socketing them with magical gems will you acquire unique abilities that allow you to prevail in a duel with another Gemwielder.

Select your favorite character to compete online against other Gemwielders around the world or practice against Sokras and climb the Student Ranks.

Each game you adapt to a novel configuration of gems and cards and craft a new deck with a unique color combination. No two games are the same and whoever seizes the opportunities presented to them best, will be rewarded. 

Gemwielders is designed around interaction from the ground up. The innovative combat system allows attack and defense cards to clash each turn and interact meaningfully.

Demo

The demo features local multiplayer and a single player mode to learn the game and unlock achievements climbing the Student Ranks.

Release

The full game will be released 2025, introducing online multiplayer, more playable characters and a new gem type. After release, new content will be added regularily.

I make Gemwielders as a solo-developer with the help from a wonderful artist of Enhydra Games doing character design and animations. The game is self-funded and self-published, and I have to be very economical on how I use my limited budget (my own private savings). I make as much as I can myelf, use freely available game assets and buy assets from talented artists where it counts the most. In my work flow I sometimes use generative imaging for the creation of visual assets. As the player base grows, I will be able to hire and support more and more artists to further enrich the world of Gemwielders.
