Why Early Access?

“We cook.

We aim to give the people a little taste of what we're cooking, but our game is still in development. Releasing in Early Access solves this problem, as it is an invaluable tool to us to be able to receive constructive feedback, advertise our game, and generally show off what we're making, setting ourselves up to drop the campaign release when ready.

Our goals are to release BIOPUNCH Arena here on Steam this year (2024), and to expand out to the full game with a full campaign after a year. Regardless of whether we add the campaign, BIOPUNCH Arena will remain on Steam as a complete, standalone title.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Till it's cooked.

We're aiming at keeping the game in Early Access until the end of its development, estimated one year from our intended demo release of August 2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Cooked.

We aim to publish with a refined six-punch fighting system, where specific punches may be used to disable enemies by their weak points or finish off a staggered foe. We're also aiming at gunplay, challenging enemy variants, minibosses, bosses, arena and campaign modes, and multiple playable characters. These are our intentions and none of this is final as they have yet to be implemented in-game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Still cooking.

Our game has been in development for 9 months, we're in beta and producing more material as we speak.

Presently we have one wave-based arena mode, one arena map, three enemy types to fight and six available punches plus six charged variations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Does a ball of dough cost less than a loaf of bread?

In seriousness, yes. We're intending to release updates incrementally and increase the price accordingly. See above questions for a list of additions we're planning on incorporating.”
