What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Because Nyassembled! is being developed by a single individual, there is a lack of objective evaluation and verification of gameplay, content, difficulty, environment-dependent behavior, etc. Feedback from players is essential to complete this work and officially launch it with confidence.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It is expected to last at least one year from the start of Early Access. This period may be longer depending on the nature of player suggestions and requests.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal for the full version is to implement deeper levels and a true ending. We also plan to augment the overall content (battle map variations, skills, modules, items, characters, small missions, etc.). Depending on the success of our game balancing efforts, we are considering adding a game mode with a more roguelike feel.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game mechanics are already in place and can be played through to the normal ending. All features listed on the Steam page are present in the Early Access version. However, the story will leave you feeling like you are halfway through. There are many ideas for content that have not yet been implemented. The amount of content may be sufficient in its current state, but we believe that the more content in a procedurally generated game, the more fun it should be.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We believe that the price should be reviewed from time to time depending on the level of completion and amount of content. The price will increase slightly during the Early Access period to reflect the added content and refinement of the system. The increase before and after the end of Early Access will be small.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“In order to keep as much information as possible in one place, we are looking for input from the Steam community. Please feel free to share your thoughts, feedback, bug reports, comments about cats, etc. at any time. You can also leave a review on the store. We look forward to your participation.”

About This Game

Obtain a certain item in the deepest level of the dungeon. The goal is simple, but the path is unpredictable!

Modular Mech

This machine, called CAT, has a structure that allows its parts to be freely interchangeable; only one core module is absolutely essential. Show your originality. Remember that each pilot cat has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Simultaneous Turn-Based Battle

In Nyassembled!, the actions of all units are commanded in advance, and then they act simultaneously. The key to victory is anticipating your opponent's actions.

Procedural Generation

The world map and battlefields are randomly generated. Build your strategy on the fly.

Other Features

Various modules and skills
The combinations of CAT modules and pilot skills are endless.

Destructible environment
Every object can be destroyed. Let your cats run wild. The more they destroy, the more bonuses you get.

Objects with care
Battlefields are filled with objects that can affect the outcome of a fight. How you use and handle them is where your skill comes into play.

Fog of war
It's hard to deal with threats you can't see. The same goes for the cats you play against. You can gain an advantage by spotting your opponents first and launching a preemptive strike.

Replay and log
Don't worry when a lot of things are happening at once. The powerful replay and log feature gives you a complete picture of what happened.

Carrier
If you can't win with CATs alone, you can support them directly with special functions and items installed on your carrier.

Story

In the distant future, a long time has passed since most of the human race was wiped out on Earth and the Moon. The very few survivors live quietly in a small city in a remote corner of the world, entrusting their existence to the control of computers, in perpetual stagnation without progress or decline.

You are an information technology expert living in such a city.

At the request of an acquaintance, you have been searching for her missing cat. You followed his footsteps through electronic records, which somehow led you to an abandoned server no longer in use.

There you found a mysterious virtual world, a playground for electronic cats. Putting aside the purpose of your visit for the moment, let's play with them using CATs.
