About This Game

ZENOMATRIX is a first-person puzzle game that seamlessly combines a classic horror mechanic and puzzle-solving in a way that has never been done before.

Explore colorful, surreal worlds inspired by the "Silicon Dreams" aesthetic of late 80's/early 90's CGI.

Solve puzzles where you must think ahead and plan every move if you want to make it to the end, dealing with enemies that will move to attack if not directly observed.

Learn how to use the different gadgets and mechanics provided to you, as well as the environment and even the enemy behavior itself to your advantage.

The game also features a very easy to use level-editor that players can use to create, modify and share their own levels, allowing for potentially endless hours of fun and creativity, long after story mode is finished.

Horror games, among other things, are all about the lack of information, they're about keeping the player in the dark, both thematically and literally, but also mechanically, while puzzles, by design, are required to communicate all the information the player could possibly need, in order for them to be solvable, which is why, even though puzzles feature heavily in horror games, they are always separate from the horror, and are used as either a filler, or distraction.

But, what if the WILLING acquisition and relinquishment of information, was both the main puzzle mechanic, AND the main horror element?

What if the monster was both a threat to overcome, but also a puzzle to be solved?
