Miksi Early Access?

We’re a small development team of nine individuals. We love our game, but getting community feedback is super important. Hopefully, you find it just as fun.

Balancing the game is key to its success as a deck builder. We want to hear about what’s broken and what’s amazing. We plan new builds every two weeks. If you want more frequent beta builds, join our Discord beta group.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Six to twelve months.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan to add more enemies, bosses, trinkets, amulets, and scrolls. We’re also considering ascension levels, achievements, familiars, and different spellbook types.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game's core mechanics are complete, and we already have a wide variety of items and enemies to make every run feel unique. The UI is polished, but the character and content art are all temporary and need to be finished. We plan to use player feedback to help direct our focus on improving the game for a full release.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Runeborn will be heavily discounted for Early Access to encourage access to more players and feedback. We’ll increase it on release but keep it similar to other roguelike deck-builder games.

We encourage everyone to join our Discord. Our developers are happy to chat about upcoming features and what’s working or not. We will also be active on our Runeborn Steam community hub. We plan to send regular dev updates through both channels.

Forge your Runebook, crush enemies, and combine trinkets of boundless power to destroy the forces of Malakar!

  • Cast spells to attack enemies by spinning Rune Columns like slot reels.

  • Match results along five Spell Lines to deal damage.

  • Strategically lock up to 8 Runes in place while others spin for better control.

  • Customize rune columns in a deck-building experience to suit your strategy.

  • Add, remove, and modify Runes for personalized gameplay.

  • Enhance runes with amulets and auras for additional effects when cast.

  • Explore 150 Trinkets to discover synergies and crazy combos.

  • Increase damage and damage multipliers.

  • Trigger Runes multiple times.

  • Gain extra Rune holds.

  • Make Runes match with different elements.

  • Choose starting enemies with unique abilities, balancing risk and reward.

  • Earn coins for defeating stronger foes and spend them across five specialized shops.
