Why Early Access?

“We’re a small development team of nine individuals. We love our game, but getting community feedback is super important. Hopefully, you find it just as fun.

Balancing the game is key to its success as a deck builder. We want to hear about what’s broken and what’s amazing. We plan new builds every two weeks. If you want more frequent beta builds, join our Discord beta group.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Six to twelve months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more enemies, bosses, trinkets, amulets, and scrolls. We’re also considering ascension levels, achievements, familiars, and different spellbook types.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game's core mechanics are complete, and we already have a wide variety of items and enemies to make every run feel unique. The UI is polished, but the character and content art are all temporary and need to be finished. We plan to use player feedback to help direct our focus on improving the game for a full release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Runeborn will be heavily discounted for Early Access to encourage access to more players and feedback. We’ll increase it on release but keep it similar to other roguelike deck-builder games.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We encourage everyone to join our Discord. Our developers are happy to chat about upcoming features and what’s working or not. We will also be active on our Runeborn Steam community hub. We plan to send regular dev updates through both channels.”
