What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Roguelite and deckbuilding games benefit greatly from early player feedback.

By launching Rogue Wheels in Early Access, we want to work closely with the community, iterate on core systems, and build a game that players genuinely enjoy.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that Rogue Wheels may remain in Early Access for around 6–12 months, though this timeframe may change depending on development progress and feedback.

The game will enter Early Access with its core mechanics in place. During this period, we plan to continue refining systems, improving balance, and exploring additional content, guided by community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release of Rogue Wheels is intended to offer a broader and more complete experience compared to Early Access.

Development may include additional cards, more playable cars, new enemy types and expanded regions. As development progresses, we plan to continue improving balance, achievements and overall polish as the project evolves.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Rogue Wheels already includes the core gameplay systems and a large portion of the planned content. The game is fully playable from start to finish, while some features and content are still being expanded and refined during Early Access.

Playable Regions

Early Access includes four main regions.
All regions are accessible, but some features are still in development. The final region represents end game content and is intentionally limited during Early Access, allowing it to grow and evolve over time.

Playable Cars

At the start of Early Access, two out of four planned playable cars are available.
The remaining cars are still in development as their mechanics and identities are being refined based on gameplay testing and feedback.

Locations & Events

Most locations and events are already implemented.
We continue to gather feedback and experiment with new ideas, and additional locations may be introduced during Early Access.

Cards & Builds

The majority of cards and core builds are already available, allowing for many different play styles.
As development continues, we plan to explore additional cards and builds, alongside ongoing balance adjustments during Early Access. Cards for additional cars are expected to unlock alongside those characters.

Progression

Rogue Wheels features roguelite progression systems with permanent upgrades.
Each upgrade category supports multiple tiers, but during Early Access progression is intentionally capped to allow room for expansion. Additional upgrade tiers may be introduced as development progresses.

Art, Audio & Visual Effects

Most of the game’s art is already implemented, with ongoing improvements to visuals, animations, and effects.
Some locations, cards, cars and visual effects currently use placeholder assets, which are planned to be replaced with updated artwork during development.

Achievements & Additional Features

Achievements and some additional features are currently locked and may be enabled closer to the full 1.0 release as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Rogue Wheels is planned to be priced lower during Early Access.

As development progresses, the price may increase closer to the full 1.0 release to reflect the evolving scope of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community throughout development by actively gathering feedback and maintaining open communication.

Player feedback may be collected through surveys, social media discussions and our Discord community. We aim to use this feedback to help guide balance changes, potential content additions, and overall improvements during Early Access.”

About This Game

Rogue Wheels is a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder where your car is your character.

Drive through dangerous areas, face off against hostile vehicles, and navigate unpredictable locations and events. Every run challenges you to adapt your deck, plan your actions, and survive the road ahead.

Deckbuilding is at the core of Rogue Wheels. Each run starts with a basic deck that you gradually customize by drafting new cards, upgrading existing ones, and removing unwanted cards. Simple mechanics early on give way to deep strategic choices as your runs progress.

Combat revolves around timing and sequencing. Cards are played into different resolution lanes, and both you and your enemies commit actions at the same time. Success depends not only on what you play, but when it resolves.

Key Features

  • Turn-based combat with shared timing

  • Strategic lane based resolution system

  • Run based deckbuilding and progression

  • Roguelite unlocks that expand future runs

  • Multiple regions, each ending with a boss encounter

Every run is different. Learn from failure, unlock new options, and push further on your next attempt.

EARLY ACCESS NOTE: All card art is being created by a dedicated artist, and updated visuals will be added soon!
