What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to develop the game alongside its players. As a competitive card game with a wide range of cards, effects and interactions, community feedback is especially valuable for improving balance, identifying unusual combinations and refining the overall experience.
We also want players to help shape future cards, features and quality-of-life improvements while the game continues to grow.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. This may change depending on player feedback, development progress and the amount of testing required before the game is ready for its full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to include a larger selection of cards, additional achievements, expanded progression and more ways to play.
During Early Access, we also plan to improve card balance, online multiplayer, matchmaking, user-interface clarity, visual effects, sound, performance and general game polish. Community feedback will help determine which improvements and features receive the greatest focus.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core turn-based card-battling experience is playable, including and online multiplayer and couch mode.
Players can build and use decks containing Johns, Items, Active cards, Passive cards and Environment cards. The current version also includes card effects, status interactions, trading and shop systems, achievements and the main gameplay progression systems.
The game is still being actively developed, so players may encounter balance issues, incomplete content, visual inconsistencies and occasional bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We currently plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price when it leaves Early Access. This reflects the difference between the current Early Access version and the planned full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback may help inform the game’s development throughout Early Access. Players can share feedback through Steam Discussions, bug reports and playtesting.

Feedback will be particularly useful for identifying issues involving card balance, matchmaking, usability and unexpected card interactions. Community suggestions may also help inform development priorities, alongside the overall direction and practical needs of the game. Development plans may change as the game evolves, and not every suggestion will be implemented.”

About This Game

Enter a tactical card game where careful positioning, clever combinations, and knowing when to take a risk are the keys to victory.

Build a deck from a diverse collection of characters, items, abilities, and unusual effects, then take your strategy onto a compact battlefield where every available space matters. Cards are more than numbers in your hand—they become part of the board, interact with one another, and create opportunities that can completely change the direction of a match.

There is no single path to victory. Build around dependable combinations, create unpredictable chains of effects, overwhelm your opponent with raw power, or patiently wait for the perfect moment to disrupt their plans.

Build Your Strategy

Create a deck that suits the way you play. Combine cards with complementary abilities, discover unexpected interactions, and refine your strategy as you learn what each card can do.

Every addition to your deck is a choice. Powerful cards may demand greater investment, while seemingly simple cards can become essential parts of a carefully constructed combination.

Control the Battlefield

Matches take place on a focused board where positioning is just as important as the cards you draw. Limited space forces you to think ahead, respond to your opponent, and decide which cards are worth committing to the field.

A strong card played at the wrong time can become a liability. A modest card placed in the right position can win the game.

Create Powerful Combinations

Cards can attack, defend, support one another, apply status effects, manipulate resources, and trigger abilities in response to events across the board.

Experiment with different decks and discover combinations that allow you to:

• Strengthen cards already in play
• Disrupt your opponent’s plans
• Trade resources for greater rewards
• Trigger chains of connected abilities
• Turn an apparent disadvantage into an unexpected victory

Spend Souls at the Shop

Defeated John cards produce Souls, a valuable currency that can be spent at the shop during a match.

Use your Souls to purchase powerful Active Items that can immediately influence the battlefield, or invest in Trades that can be equipped to special Johns. These upgrades can strengthen their abilities, create new card interactions, and help shape your strategy as the match develops.

Every purchase is a decision. Spend your Souls early to gain momentum, save them for a powerful item, or build a John around a carefully chosen set of Trades. Managing the shop effectively can be just as important as controlling the board.

Blue Cards — Johns

Johns have been pulled through time and space, transformed into cards, and forced to fight for—or against—the John Master.

To play a John, select it from your hand, then choose an empty cell on your side of the board.

To attack, select one of your Johns and then choose the cell directly opposite it.

  • If an enemy John occupies that cell, your John attacks it and deals damage.

  • When a John’s health reaches zero, it is removed from the board and sent to the grave.

  • If the opposing cell is empty, the attack hits the opponent directly.

  • Reduce the opponents life to zero to win the battle.

Red Cards — Items

Items enhance a single John by granting additional effects, abilities, or stat bonuses.

To equip an Item, select it from your hand and then choose one of your active Johns on the board.

Each Item remains attached to that John unless an effect removes it or the John is defeated.

Purple Cards — Active Cards

Active Cards immediately change the course of the battle.

They can apply effects, draw cards, move Johns, deal damage, manipulate the board, and trigger a wide variety of actions.

Select an Active Card from your hand, then choose any required targets. Once its effect has resolved, the card is discarded.

Green Cards — Environments

The battlefield begins to warp whenever a large gathering of Johns occurs.

Environment Cards apply powerful global effects that can influence every John in play.

To play an Environment Card, select it from your hand and place it into the Environment slot. Playing a new Environment replaces the current one.

Environment effects remain active until they are replaced or removed.

Orange Cards — Passives

Passive cards cannot attack, but they often provide powerful ongoing effects while they remain on the board.

Their abilities may support your other Johns, generate resources, disrupt your opponent, or alter the rules of the battlefield.

Passives cannot equip Items and cannot be given Status Effects. Protect them carefully—their value comes from keeping their abilities active for as long as possible.
