What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’ve chosen to release the game in Early Access because it represents a crucial milestone in our development journey. We are a small team from a third-world country and we have built this game with limited resources and supported by initial backing from our parent company, this project has come to life through passion, persistence, and careful planning. Early Access offers us the opportunity to share the foundation we’ve created, gather player feedback, and assess how the game performs in the hands of a broader audience. This phase will play an important role in determining the future of the project, including the possibility of continued investment from our parent company and expansion toward a full release. Your engagement and response will help shape what comes next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At this stage, we are unable to provide a definitive timeline for the full release. The duration of the Early Access period will largely depend on how the game is received by players. Positive feedback, strong engagement, and community interest will help demonstrate the project’s potential and may enable us to secure continued support from our parent company. If that support is confirmed, we plan to resume development and work toward a full and expanded release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version represents an initial portion of the game — a foundational first arc that introduces key mechanics, characters, and systems. The full version is planned to be significantly larger in scope, featuring expanded storylines, additional characters, more enemies, new abilities, deeper puzzles, and narrative developments that go far beyond what is currently available. The final release will aim to deliver a more complete, immersive, and content-rich experience that builds upon the groundwork laid during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features the game's opening arc, introducing players to its core gameplay systems, initial characters, and the foundational elements of the story. It includes a selection of puzzles, a combat encounter sequence, and one fully playable boss fight. While limited in scope, this version offers a complete and cohesive early-game experience, serving as the first step toward the broader vision planned for the full release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The Early Access version is priced lower to reflect its current scope and to encourage early support. If we’re able to continue development and expand the game as planned, the price will likely increase to match the added content, features, and overall scale of the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback plays a vital role in shaping the future of the game. While development resources are currently limited, we are actively listening to player input regarding bugs, feature suggestions, and overall gameplay experience. Should development continue beyond Early Access, this feedback will be instrumental in guiding improvements and new content. Players are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences with us via our official Discord or email channels.”

About This Game

A horror mystery where the story unravels — and something else pushes through.

You're invited to Midnight Castle for what should be a simple mystery retreat. Solve puzzles, explore eerie environments, and piece together clues as you work your way deeper into the castle's strange and sinister story.

Meet a cast of flawed and unpredictable guests, each with their own reasons for attending — and their own secrets to keep.

A Narrator guides your every move — sarcastic, defensive, and constantly scrambling to keep things running. Broken objects? Strange bugs? Missing UI? No problem (according to him). It’s all part of the experience… probably.

But something is... off.

As the night unfolds, however, things start to slip. Glitches grow worse. Puzzles twist and change. And something foreign — something malicious — begins rewriting the game according to rules beyond understanding.

A guided horror adventure with an unreliable narrator and fourth-wall breaking narration.

Experience a mystery that spirals into chaos as the narrator's grip weakens. Navigate shifting realities, face unexpected threats, and survive the story’s collapse as Midnight Castle — and the game itself — fracture and distort.
