Why Early Access?

“We develop Library Of Lyria as a small two person team and Early Access gives us the opportunity to keep on developing close to all your great ideas and feedback. We plan to add more and more stages of the game and Early Access is the perfect framework for that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Library Of Lyria will be in Early Access for roughly two to three years with active development together with the community. Over this time, we plan to release more and more content that contains further library stages, more villagers, more quests, etc.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main difference will be mid- and late-game content. We plan to have more library stages, more villagers/NPCs and more quests. During development our plan is to have different stages that will gradually expanding the scope of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core mechanics are ready and done. The most important ones are:
  • The quest and dialogue system. You are already able to talk to the villagers and do quests
  • Day/Night cycle, weather system and changing seasons. While playing we want to give you an atmospheric experience. Changing weather, lighting moods and the environment based on the current season is a key element for that.
  • The build system. You already can build lots of elements in your library or around it. You can build bookshelves, crafting stations, decorative elements and many more.
  • NPCs already follow a daily schedule which makes interacting with them much more immersive
  • Gathering, mining and collecting resources is also already implemented so nothing stands in your way to craft the things you need.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Full Release version of Library Of Lyria will cost a bit more than the Early Access version. As the scale of the game rises with further development you will have more and more content to play when buying the final release. If you already obtained the Early Access version, you saved a buck or two.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Involving the community into the development of the game is one of the most important things for us! Our official Discord server already has all the places we need to talk about. In addition to that we stream the development live on Twitch so there is always room for feedback, ideas and chatting about the game.”

  • Library Of Lyria is a mixture of sandbox, farm and management sim.
  • Renovate, manage and expand your library. The old building urgently needs some love and attention. Various expansion stages await you to restore the library to its former glory.
  • Collect resources and craft new things. You will need bookshelves and, of course, books. You can either make these yourself, find them on the island of Lyria or ask the villagers to help you. Gradually, you will be able to build increasingly high-quality workbenches and products.

On the beautiful island of Lyria there is a Library, a bit hidden in the middle of an enchanted forest, and for generations there has always been a librarian who has taken care of this wonderful building. Knowledge, magic and nature have come together in this place and maintained the balance on the island. Also the villagers of the island have worked closely with the librarian. Until one day the library was left deserted...
You are the next librarian in the succession of generations and restore the library to its former glory.


Renovate, upgrade and expand your library

You start with a building that is very little more than a crumbling forest hut. However, you can expand and embellish your library from level to level. Extensions and upgrades give you more and more opportunities to realize your very own style.

Set up and decorate

A library needs furnishings. Build bookshelves, cozy reading corners and decorate according to your own taste. Turn your own library into a cozy place that people enjoy visiting and spending time in. From level to level, you have more space and more options to furnish everything to your liking.

Extensive and far-reaching stories of the NPCs

The people who live on Lyria have their own stories. Each NPC has a deep background story to explore. Be it their personal fate, goals for the future, inner conflicts or even funny quirks, the closer you get to know the people, the more you will find out about them. Many stories are closely linked to the island of Lyria and open up new quests for you to take on.

The world of Lyria is full of life. The natural beauty of the island creates a friendly and cozy atmosphere that is a pleasure to live in. Nature and magic also play an important role in everyday life.
