Everise's action takes place across three different phases, linked together by their specific mechanics.

First the Tower, full of monsters and riches. Your hero must progress toward the top, pillaging and collecting resources along the way.

Make The Most Out Of Your Day

At regular intervals waves of raiders will attack your Town in an auto-battler kind of event. This is the Siege phase, your defenses needs to be strong enough to stop them at all time, so make sure you extract enough building materials out of the Tower.

What's the best way to extract loot from a sky-high tower? Easy, just throw it all out the window.

Down next to the Tower your Town is being built, where the city building phase takes place. Use the resources you've dropped to build and defend your settlement.

Use Magic Gems to Turn the Tides of Battle

Everise will challenge you to a game of constant fine balancing and optimization. The hero you send in the tower can't die, but you'll have to be efficient to maximize the amount of resources you can grab before your daily health & stamina pool is depleted. To help you with this you'll collect Magic Gems allowing you to cast a variety of spells to get the upper hand on the battlefield.

Tactical Turn-Based Combat

Spells can either be 'Slow' or 'Quick', meaning they either resolve before or after enemy actions. Use this to your advantage to outwit your enemies and get rid of them in a way that will require the minimal amount of time and effort: evade their attacks, move them around, trick them into attacking one another, be creative... and deceitful!

Here's a summary of what you can expect to do:

• Enter the tower and make your way across different rooms and levels to reach higher floors.

• Manage your health and stamina pool efficiently to cover as much ground as possible before inevitably running out of energy for the day.

• Fight enemies in a turn-based combat system. When you perform an action, all enemies do so as well.

• Assemble a deck of magic Gems to cast powerful spells and change the state of battle.

• Collect resources and equipment by pillaging every room you go through. Break apart furniture, destroy decorations, steal riches and loot your vanquished enemies to fill your inventory.

• Manage your limited inventory space, decide what you need the most: more resources to improve your Town or extra tools and equipment to facilitate your progression in the Tower.

• At the end of every floor you'll get access to a balcony where you can empty your inventory. Drop down the resources you've accumulated for recycling in Town.

• Build and improve the Town to fortify it and unlock new upgrades.

• Assemble a line-up of guards and defensive contraptions to protect the Town against endless waves of raiders.

• When a new day start, go back to your hero inside the Tower and progress further up. Your objective is to reach the top of the Tower before raiders take over your Town.
