Time is short. You won’t be able to read through everything.

You’ll have to make calls that grab the audience’s attention, please the sponsors, and prove that your voice deserves to be heard.

Otherwise, someone else will be sitting in your chair.

In this country, reports on war and disaster sit side-by-side with ramen shop reviews.

You might think it’s absurd.

But when public airwaves are funded by sponsors, holding the audience’s attention becomes a matter of survival.

As a commentator, you’re not just delivering the facts.

You’re someone viewers want to hear from.

A lawyer weighing in on celebrity scandals.

An essayist debating foreign policy.

You’ll speak on issues beyond your expertise—not because you want to, but because the show demands it.

The Commentator is a visual novel where you shape public opinion through your on-air commentary.

Each day is split into two phases:

a timed production meeting where you use point-and-click gameplay to choose stories and stances,

followed by a live broadcast where your decisions are put into words.

Your choices affect not only your reputation and job security, but also the mood of society—and the fate of those around you.
