About This Demo

Never Be Alone Demo

Step into a world ten years after the outbreak, where cities have been reclaimed by nature, vines crawl across abandoned buildings, and the remnants of humanity cling to survival.

In Never Be Alone, survival is about more than keeping yourself alive. It is about protecting what remains.

You awaken after a six-month coma inside a fragile and isolated safezone, with no memory of who you are or what happened before you were found. The settlement is vulnerable, supplies are limited, and every person must contribute if it is going to survive.

To earn your place and begin uncovering the truth about your forgotten past, you must venture beyond the walls, explore dangerous territory, confront the infected, and navigate uneasy relationships with the survivors still fighting for control.

The world reacts to what you do. Missions, conversations, and outcomes can change depending on your actions, the weather, the time of day, and the people you save—or fail to save.

Will you protect your new home, survive what waits beyond the walls, and begin uncovering the truth?

Experience the Opening 10 Missions

The Never Be Alone Demo includes the opening 10 missions of the campaign, introducing you to the safezone, its survivors, and the dangers waiting beyond its walls.

Across these missions, the story can reach two different major outcomes, with eight different ways events can play out depending on your actions, successes, failures, and decisions.

That does not include the many smaller dialogue variations that can occur depending on factors such as weather, time of day, previous conversations, and discoveries made during your journey.

The demo takes place on one of the three islands planned for the Early Access release on December 8.

A Dynamic, Fully Voiced Story

Experience the beginning of a fully voiced, story-driven campaign featuring real voice actors and a world that remembers what happened.

Characters may react differently depending on:

  • Your actions and choices

  • Mission successes and failures

  • Survivors you rescue or leave behind

  • Previous conversations

  • Weather conditions

  • Time of day

  • Discoveries made while exploring

Objectives, dialogue, character reactions, and mission outcomes may change depending on how you approach each situation.

Seamless Cooperative Survival

Why face the apocalypse alone?

Play solo or team up with friends in seamless co-op. Explore together, share supplies, coordinate attacks, travel in vehicles, and help keep one another alive.

The game does not currently enforce a fixed player limit. The practical number of players depends on the host computer and internet connection.

Whether you play alone, as a duo, or with a larger group, cooperation can mean the difference between making it home and becoming another body beside the road.

Explore an Island Reclaimed by Nature

Explore forests, farms, abandoned buildings, survivor locations, military areas, and settlements slowly being consumed by the natural world.

Search buildings, follow hidden paths, investigate forgotten camps, and uncover clues about the people who lived there before you.

The demo gives you access to one island from the larger three-island world planned for Early Access.

Face the Infected

Fight multiple types of infected with different behaviours, strengths, and weaknesses.

Some are slow and predictable. Others move quickly, hunt aggressively, or have survived long enough to undergo dangerous mutations.

Every encounter can become deadly, especially when noise attracts more infected than you are prepared to handle.

Human Threats

The infected are not the only danger.

Encounter hostile survivors and other groups with their own motives, territories, and rules. Some people may be willing to cooperate. Others may threaten your home or take what your community needs to survive.

Survival and Exploration Systems

The demo introduces several of the systems being developed for the full game, including:

  • First- and third-person perspectives

  • Cooperative multiplayer

  • Dynamic weather and time of day

  • Physical scavenging and animated containers

  • Crafting and survival resources

  • Weapon attachments

  • Vehicles

  • Character customization

  • Farming and food management

  • Safezone progression

  • Story choices and changing mission outcomes

First- and Third-Person Perspectives

Switch freely between first- and third-person views.

Use first person for immersion and detailed exploration, or third person for greater awareness during movement, combat, and cooperative play.

Dynamic Weather and Time

Rain, fog, storms, snow, and changing light conditions can affect visibility, exploration, and combat.

The world also reacts to the time of day. Certain dialogue, events, infected, and mission variations may only appear under the correct conditions.

Interactive Scavenging

Loot exists physically within the world.

Supplies can be found on shelves, inside buildings, and within animated containers. Search carefully, because something easily overlooked may be exactly what your safezone needs.

Weapons and Attachments

Find weapons and customize them with attachments such as:

  • Scopes

  • Suppressors

  • Flashlights

  • Extended magazines

Choose equipment that fits the situation, but remember that every gunshot creates noise—and noise attracts attention.

Vehicles and Exploration

Use vehicles to travel, transport supplies, and explore the island more efficiently.

Keep them repaired and fueled, because losing your transportation far from home can turn a simple supply run into a desperate journey back.

Help Shape the Game

This demo represents the opening chapter of Never Be Alone and is still part of an ongoing development process.

Two minor vendor characters in the current demo also use temporary AI-generated voices, which are planned to be replaced with human voice acting before the demo’s public release. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by the development team before being included in the game.
