Leaving Early Access: 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are releasing VALDIS in Early Access to develop and improve the game together with the community.

The core gameplay is already playable, but player feedback is especially important for refining combat, weapon balance, enemy behavior, difficulty progression, controls, and the pacing of enemy waves.

Early Access will also allow us to test new content and improve performance across a wider range of PC configurations before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect VALDIS to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months.

The exact development period may change depending on player feedback, the scope of new content, balancing requirements, and the time needed for optimization and polishing.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of VALDIS to offer a more complete, balanced, and polished experience.

Our current plans include additional enemies, weapons, upgrades, combat encounters, locations, and progression options. We also intend to improve enemy AI, wave balance, controls, visual effects, sound, user interface, and overall performance.

The final scope may be adjusted based on development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop of VALDIS: third-person combat, shooting, survival elements, defensive gameplay, enemy waves, and character progression.

Players can already experience the main mechanics and take part in combat encounters. However, the game is still in active development. Some content is limited, and certain elements may require additional balancing, optimization, visual improvements, and bug fixing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase after the Early Access period as new content, features, and improvements are added.

Any planned price changes will be announced in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively review player feedback through Steam Discussions, reviews, bug reports, and other community channels.

We are particularly interested in feedback about combat, weapons, controls, enemy difficulty, wave pacing, progression, performance, and overall game balance.

Player reports and suggestions will help us prioritize fixes, adjust existing mechanics, and shape future updates during Early Access.”

About This Game

Valdis blends tower defense strategy with dynamic third-person shooter action and survival elements. Defend your base against increasingly dangerous mutant zombie hordes — from slow walkers to kamikaze units and invisible enemies. Every level tests your tactics, reflexes, and battlefield control.

🎭 Story

A catastrophic incident aboard the space station Valdis infected the entire crew with a deadly zombie virus. You are the last survivor in this sci-fi nightmare. Armed with automated defense turrets and a powerful shotgun, protect the station’s energy core in intense wave-based survival combat.

🎮 Gameplay

Use various turret types — blasters, lasers, mortars, automated cannons, and more. Combine them to create an effective base defense strategy. Smart placement, resource management, and adaptation are the keys to survival.

Each turret belongs to one of three elements — Fire, Ice, or Water. The elemental combat system applies status effects: slow enemies, ignite them, or control crowds. Combine elements to trigger powerful elemental reactions and destructive synergies. Experiment with builds and discover your ideal defense strategy.

🧪 Demo Version

Valdis offers a first look at the station defense system:
