About This Game

Lysward is currently in development, which means we’re building this glorious deathtrap right alongside you. Wishlist it to be the first to test every way the desert can kill you. 

You wake up as Kiran. You have zero memories, a strange device fused to your arm, and a single name echoing in your head: Orren. You’re stranded in a place where survival is a race against a sun that literally never goes down.

Lysward is hard, and it will not hold your hand. Prepare to die until you learn to respect the sands.

Welcome to Zenit, a desert on a tidally locked planet where the daylight never ends. Stand out in the open for five seconds too long, and you will cook like a sausage on a barbecue. You’ll spend half your time aggressively hunting for shade, begging for water, and regretting your choices.

But that blinding, dangerous sunlight is also generating Amri, an important magic resource. The very thing trying to kill you is the only thing keeping your tech powered up. Have fun balancing that.

Forget rusty pickaxes. Your Amri device replaces your basic survival tools with magic power, and you'll unlock abilities that completely change how you interact with the world.

Don't waste time chipping away at rocks. Shatter massive boulders instantly or blast dangerous creatures when they get too close with your Tremor ability.

It is a harsh desert, and the food is sometimes scarce, but your magic allows you to grow life. Make trees sprout instantly for bracknuts, or use your power to purify toxic, contaminated water sources. If the desert won't feed you, make it do so.

Unless you enjoy getting hit by razor-sharp sandstorms, you’re going to need a base.

Build your own shelter to store materials, process raw ore, build your vehicle, and even start a tiny desert garden. Use your creativity to build a base that can take in any sandstorm.

Speaking of vehicles, this desert is too massive to traverse on foot. 

Enter the Icarus: your fast, agile speeder designed to zip across dunes and keep you out of the heat. It comes with built-in storage to haul your loot while you explore the breathtaking, deadly landscapes. Try not to get too close to the sun, though.

Sorry hoarders, there are no magical, bottomless black-hole pockets here.

We’re building a grid-based inventory system where every item has a specific size. Packing your bag for a desert trek is a puzzle in itself. Do you bring extra water, or leave room for shiny ores? Choose poorly, and you’ll starve far from your base next to a heavy pile of rocks you couldn't bear to leave behind.

You aren't entirely alone. Meet Gjorna, your hogbunny companion. She’s just as lost as you, but she’s your ticket out of here, as she will be the one helping you recover your lost memories. Bring items back to Gjorna, and she’ll research them to unlock the research tree with advanced crafting blueprints, gear upgrades, and consumables. 

The desert isn’t empty. From massive scorpions to stormdogs, everything has a behavior for you to learn. Some creatures are docile and can be harvested for life-saving materials, while others will hunt you the second you step into their territory. It’s really up to you to find out if you can pet that dog.
