Why Early Access?

“We are launching The Shadows Within: Nightmares Game in Early Access to complete the final stages of development with the support of our player community. Due to the studio’s current financial situation, we were unable to conduct sufficient large-scale playtests. Early Access allows us to gather crucial feedback from players to optimize the game, improve AI, balance game modes, and conduct necessary final tests. Most of the game is already finished, and this phase provides an opportunity for us to refine it alongside our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that the Early Access period will be short and focused, lasting approximately 1 to 3 months. During this time, we will gather player feedback and make the necessary improvements before releasing the full version across all platforms.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will be very close to the full game, but some key features are planned for the full release:

• Cross-platform play: We aim to introduce cross-platform capabilities in the full version, allowing players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam to play together.

• Expanded online maps: While the Early Access version includes an online mode, we plan to expand these areas and introduce more content in the full version.

• Additional DLC and content packs: We intend to add new content, DLCs, and game modes in future updates, some of which may not be available during Early Access but are intended for the final version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes:

• A fully playable story mode, where players can experience the atmosphere and narrative of the game.

• An online mode with limited areas, which we plan to expand in the full version.

• Ongoing optimization and AI improvements, which we will continue to address throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to have a lower price during Early Access compared to the full release. As we add new content and features, we may adjust the price gradually. However, players who purchase the game during Early Access will benefit from this lower price. Our intention is to keep pricing fair for everyone while reflecting the value of the additional content added after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the final version of the game. We plan to involve our community in the following ways:

• Feedback channels: Players can provide direct feedback through our Discord server and Steam forums, where they can share their experiences and suggestions.

• Regular updates: We will keep players informed about the development progress and release updates based on their feedback.

• Community polls: We will conduct polls to gather player opinions on game modes and new content, allowing the community to influence future development.”
