Why Early Access?

“We are launching The Shadows Within: Nightmare's Game in Early Access to complete the final stages of development with the support of our player community. Due to the studio’s current financial situation, we were unable to conduct sufficient large-scale playtests. Early Access allows us to gather crucial feedback from players to optimize the game, improve AI, balance the game modes, and conduct the necessary final tests. Most of the game is already finished, and this phase gives us the opportunity to refine it alongside our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access period will be short and focused, lasting between 1 to 3 months. During this time, we will gather player feedback and make the necessary improvements, after which the full version will be released across all platforms.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will be very close to the full game, but there are some key features that will be added with the full release:

• Cross-platform play: The full version will introduce cross-platform capabilities, allowing players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam to play together simultaneously.

• Expanded online maps: The Early Access version includes an online mode, but some areas will be limited. The full version will expand these areas and offer more content to players.

• Additional DLC and content packs: New content, DLCs, and game modes will be added with the full release. Some of these may be missing in the Early Access phase but will be made available in the final version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes:

• A fully playable story mode, where players can experience the atmosphere and narrative of the game.

• An online mode with limited areas, which will be expanded in the full version.

• Optimization and AI improvements are in progress, and we will continue working on these areas throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be priced lower during Early Access compared to the full release. As new content and features are added, the price will gradually increase. However, players who purchase the game during Early Access will benefit from a lower price. Our plan is to increase the price after Early Access, but we aim to keep the price fair for everyone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the final version of the game. We plan to involve our community in the following ways:

• Feedback channels: Players can provide direct feedback through our Discord server and Steam forums, where they can share their experiences and suggestions.
• Regular updates: We will keep players informed about the development progress and release regular updates based on their feedback.
• Community polls: We will ask players directly about game modes and new content through community polls, allowing them to influence future development.
