What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I couldn't imagine creating this game without Early Access. The community's feedback is so important to me to make this game the best it can possibly be. I want you there every step of the way suggesting, prodding, and letting me know how you feel.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I approximate roughly one and a half years however it entirely depends on you the community. I aim to provide a game that is intensely enjoyable to play and lives up to the standards set by the people playing it. It depends on the feedback the community gives which the ability to do so is directly tied into the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to give you an entire mountain for you to explore, storms to blow you off, helpful artifacts to discover and gear to craft.

The aim is for the game to make you feel like a brave, lone explorer in the thick of the mountain at times. At other times like a magic scholar searching through tomes to piece together ancient knowledge.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Eldercraft: Mountaineers currently contains a slice of the mountain that is complete enough to enjoy and experience the game. The rest of the mountain is technically explorable however it is in the process of getting blocked out and filled in.

There is a core set of gameplay features for you to craft, climb and explore with. Using your feedback these will be polished further.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The game will most likely increase in price as we progress through its development. The price of the game will be determined by how much I believe it to be worth in its current state.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community and it's feedback is core to how this game will be developed. There are three main ways of providing feedback.
- Joining our discord
- Giving feedback directly in-game by pressing F8
- Through our online form which can be found under the support section on this page”

About This Game

Your king demands it. The mountain has apparated.
He demands that you scale this mountain for his glory. Whatever the means. Whatever the toll.

Eldercraft: Mountaineers is an RPG about crafting, surviving and exploring. Forge your routes and pathways up the mountain to reach valuable treasures. These will help you forge more pathways that will lead you to the summit.

SURVIVE THE MOUNTAIN

The ground is safe and peaceful. The mountain is harsh and unforgiving. You will die, be reborn and die again. Through sheer will you must scale this mountain.

Delve into forgotten dungeons and long abandoned mines to harvest the resources left behind. Journey to temples and workshops of civilizations lost to time to harness their magic and craft their technology.

EXPLORE LIKE YOU MEAN IT

Explore not only outwards towards the open world of the mountain but inwards to the ancient tomes, delicate ecosystem and most peculiar mysteries the mountain holds.

CRAFT AND BUILD FOR YOUR KING

Crafting is vital. Building is safety. You can only carry so much equipment up the mountain at a time. You can only haul so much loot and materials down.
You better equip yourself to be prepared for any situation.

A storm approaches on the horizon. You see a tower on the next ridge. It must have something of value to be constructed in such a harsh place. Do you risk it and scale over? Can you reach it and descend before the storm hits? You could also play it safe. Stop and stash some equipment here to come back more prepared the next time.
