About This Demo

One hen goes missing, and the entire kingdom is thrown into turmoil. Fortunately, a group of female sailors sets out to explore the kingdom’s islands in search of her!

…But they’ll definitely need your help.

MANAGE A NOT-SO-COMPETENT CREW

People with bad intentions might describe your crew of female sailors as a group whose ambitions exceed their capabilities… Never mind: help them build muscle by training at the barracks, chat at the tavern to boost their charisma, or take advantage of an unexpected opportunity to develop their skills.

You’ll quickly discover that they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Assigning them to tasks that suit them will be crucial to bringing your adventure to a successful conclusion—or, failing that, to limiting the damage.

But make no mistake: while your crew members may not always shine in terms of muscle or wits, they have heart and a story. Some are even said to have a shady past… But you know what rumors are worth.

And, since there’s strength in numbers, you can recruit up to 10 different female sailors to help you on your epic adventure (non-binding adjective).

INFLUENCE MAJOR POLITICAL CRISES (OR NEIGHBORHOOD DISPUTES)

The Kingdom of Sauzic is rife with conflicts of varying severity, and the disappearance of the Royal Hen isn’t helping matters.

Every stop on an island will be an opportunity for your crew of female sailors to embark on new adventures, where your decisions will be crucial for the future of the kingdom, your ship, or what you’ll have for breakfast tomorrow.

Four factions will cross your path, each with its own ambitions and problems—and all of them, let’s be honest, far better prepared than you. It’s up to you whether to help them—even if it gives them an edge in the race—or to throw a wrench in their plans, at the risk of facing the consequences later.

After all, if that helps you find the Hen first, who are we to judge? You might even uncover clues to a matter with stakes far greater than the simple disappearance of a bird—no matter how noble it may be. No offense to hens, of course.

EXPLORE SAUZIC: AN ANCIENT KINGDOM WHERE NO ONE HAS EVER MANAGED TO DRAW A MAP

While the Hen is the pride of Sauzic, the same cannot be said of its cartographers. Since no one has ever produced a map worthy of the name, your sailors will have to venture out onto a sea that is never fully visible, procedurally generated with each new game.

Plan your route: choose where to stop and when to set sail again to try to gain an edge over your rivals. But be careful! Sailing is no walk in the park, and your crew has its limits: make sure they don’t suffer from hunger or fatigue. Otherwise, they might just stage a mutiny…

Fortunately, all is not lost. For a few piastres, the shipwright can upgrade the ship to make it faster, sturdier, and—with a little luck—able to survive the crew’s antics.

Features:

  • EXPLORE a procedurally generated sea and plan your route between the islands.

  • TRAIN your crew and assign each crewmember to the tasks that suit her best.

  • INFLUENCE four rival factions through alliances, sabotage, and your decisions.

  • UPGRADE your ship while managing your crew’s hunger, fatigue, and various conditions.

  • FIND the Royal Hen, and uncover the truth behind a mystery that may be bigger than it seems.
