For the engineers, telemetry nerds, and hardcore sim racers: ACR might look simple on the surface, but underneath lies a custom, highly optimized physics and networking architecture built from scratch to solve the most stubborn problems in modern simulation.

The Dragon Physics Engine

  • True Bicubic 3D Surfaces: ACR abandons traditional discontinuous flat triangles and polygons. The tire and collision models evaluate directly against continuous and non-continuous bicubic polynomial 3D curved surfaces, resulting in flawlessly smooth data calculation without microscopic polygon chatter.

  • Symplectic & Higher-Order Integration: The core engine runs at a rock-solid 100Hz, utilizing energy-accurate symplectic integration to conserve energy during collisions, accurate airborne rotations with realistic precession, and accurate suspension behavior.

  • 500Hz Tire & Suspension Model: Tires and suspension calculate at 500Hz. The result is predictable, highly dynamic traction and handling. Behaviors like on- and off-throttle oversteer, braking understeer/oversteer, tire chirps, and even drivetrain and tachometer wobble are 100% emergent behaviors born from the physics chain, never canned or scripted effects.

High-Fidelity 1kHz Force Feedback

  • 1000Hz FFB Pipeline: Force feedback is calculated at 1kHz. ACR is optimized for the ultra-fast transient response of Direct Drive wheelbases, delivering pure, high-quality telemetry to your hands.

  • Dynamic Grip Feedback: Feel what the front tires are doing. As front grip is lost, the wheel dynamically lightens. You can also toggle between "Direct" (less lag, no power steering feel) and "Smooth" (hydraulic feel) to match your preferences.

  • Hands-Free Detection: A specialized 1kHz hands-free detection system briefly cuts FFB if severe oscillation or a sudden hands-free state is detected.

Native Telemetry: SimHub & SRS Support

High Quality VR & Zero Jitter Netcode

  • Excellent Stereoscopic 3D: Built by a pioneer in VR gaming, ACR features an incredibly fast rendering engine that hits 90 to 120fps. Mirrors are physically modeled for true 3D depth, like real mirrors.

  • High-Latency Stability: The custom low-latency bandwidth-adaptive optimized RUDP netcode is tested stable at 2000ms pings. At competitive pings (50ms or less), the prediction model is so smooth and jitter-free that multiplayer looks and feels local.

Hardware Support & Content

ACR supports Xbox, Sony DualSense, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and similar controllers, as well as the latest force-feedback wheels, pedals, and shifters. With the driving aids turned up, even keyboard is fun to play.

The current build includes 8 tracks (raced both ways for 16 effective tracks), 2 sports car types and 1 formula style chassis, with various setups and aero for 10 cars total. Low horsepower through high horsepower setups are included, and the vehicle editor can be used real-time while the car is on the track, even during a race. Vehicle setup combinations are practically unlimited. As shown in the pictures & videos, graphics are simple where the focus is on physics and driving fun. When DynamicBOP is 100%, up to 3000+HP at 12K RPMs is possible, with speeds exceeding 400MPH.

ACR supports up to 24 online players with up to 88 cars in a race, even on modest hardware such as the OG Steam Deck.

(Demo Note: The Demo version of ACR provides 2 excellent cars and 2 super fun tracks (one easy, one more challenging), single player only. Online multiplayer is available in the full version.)
