About This Game

BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE GAME:

Unique Mechanics

In Haus of Irndrous, survival means managing every move. Your stamina is limited—push too hard, and panic takes over. Your flashlight is your lifeline in the dark, but don’t count on it always working when you need it most. Every area is packed with puzzles that challenge your observation and logic skills, all while you're being hunted by enemies twisted by brutal genetic experiments. They’re not just out to get you—they’re built to disturb.

Immersive Narrative

The story in Haus of Irndrous isn’t handed to you—it’s uncovered piece by piece. Hidden radios, scattered notes, and the eerie atmosphere of the mansion slowly reveal the truth. Each audio log offers clues to solve puzzles or sheds light on the dark past of the Afgarn Corporation and its inhuman experiments. Exploration and curiosity are rewarded, making you an active part of the mystery.

80s-Inspired Atmosphere

Step into a retro-fueled nightmare. Haus of Irndrous draws heavy inspiration from the 1980s, blending the mansion’s decaying elegance with period tech—think old-school radios and VHS-style visual and sound effects. The result is a hauntingly immersive experience that echoes the vibe of classic psychological horror.

Progression & Challenge

Each area you conquer raises the stakes. Enemies grow more aggressive, puzzles become more intricate, and the environments turn increasingly oppressive. The constant sense of danger makes every step forward feel like a real achievement.

The Story
Ryle receives a strange letter from his father after years of silence. In it, he learns that something has gone terribly wrong at the corporation where his father works. After a long journey, Ryle finds himself deep within the Afgarn Mansion—only to realize the security protocol has been activated. The place is collapsing, and he must find a key to escape before it’s too late.

One of the protocol’s strict rules is clear: “Do NOT speak to any experiments.”
As he ventures further, Ryle discovers that some of the labs are still operational. The company once tried to enhance human DNA... with fatal results. Now, the experiments have returned—aggressive, mutated, and armed with disturbing abilities, like phasing through solid objects… and possibly worse.
