What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Millennium Strategy is a game that leads with innovative gameplay. To create a fresh and enjoyable gaming experience for players, we believe it is essential to make continuous adjustments based on player feedback at any time.

In Millennium Strategy, we have adopted a real-time combat system where mana increases over time, allowing players to use skills and play cards at any moment. The battlefield elements consist of a team made up of three heroes, 30 cards, and four summoning spots. Each hero also has a passive ability, an active ability, and an ultimate ability, all of which are unique aspects of Millennium Strategy.

In the random map mode, all pieces are face-down at the start of the game, and players do not know the exact identity of each piece. However, each piece will reveal partial information about the surrounding pieces, and players must make decisions based on this information.

Millennium Strategy also directly supports players in creating mods within the game, customizing game elements and content, such as creating their own cards. We offer a full visual configuration process and built-in text editors, a rich set of ready-to-use APIs, syntax panels, common function panels, and other tools. Our aim is to allow ordinary players to enjoy the fun of DIY.

Therefore, we need to collect extensive feedback on these elements to make the game more interesting and enjoyable and to make the mod-making tools more user-friendly. The assistance of community players is indispensable.

Thus, we have decided to release an Early Access version of Millennium Strategy, and we sincerely hope for your support.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“To enhance the quality of the game, we plan to undergo a period of at least half a year for Early Access to attempt various optimizations.
During the Early Access period, we will actively add new content and continuously optimize the game system.
Depending on the progress of game development, we will decide in the future whether to extend the Early Access period or officially release the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to focus on adding new content and balance adjustments, gradually introducing various new elements.
We are considering adding more monsters, Bosses, random events and challenges, new mechanism pieces, heroes, cards, and player skills to enrich the game content and optimize the experience of construction and gameplay.
In terms of MOD support, we are considering adding support for more modules and optimizing the MOD creation process and tools.
In addition, we are also considering introducing new game systems based on player feedback and suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core systems and gameplay loops of Millennium Strategy, including random maps, combat, decks, cards, equipment, etc., have been completed.
In addition, we have provided more than 50 enemies, over 30 heroes, more than 150 cards, and over 80 pieces of equipment for the Early Access, as well as full-process production support for the DIY of magic cards.
Therefore, even during the Early Access phase, you can fully enjoy the fun of playing and creating.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“At the time of the official release of the game, the price may increase.”

About This Game

"Millennium Strategy" is a captivating single-player card game that merges the intricacies of strategic gameplay with the unpredictable nature of Roguelike elements, immersing players in a fantasy realm teeming with challenges and discoveries. With its exquisite card art and visual effects, every battle transforms into a spectacular visual experience.

In "Millennium Strategy," a deck is assembled from 3 distinct heroes and a selection of 30 cards. As players progress through the game, they collect a diverse range of cards and unlock heroes, each with their own unique abilities. Prior to the commencement of the game, players have the freedom to tailor their deck to their liking. The adventure continues to reward players with more cards, allowing them to enhance their deck further. This means that players have the opportunity to refine their strategy and construct the optimal deck to vanquish foes, adjusting their approach based on their current lineup and card resources available before each upcoming battle.

Drawing inspiration from "Dark Chess" (a variant of Chinese Chess) and Minesweeper, "Millennium Strategy" introduces a novel randomized map mechanic. At the outset, all pieces are face down, with their identities unknown to the player. As players move, they can reveal a piece to discover its true nature. Each piece provides partial information about its surrounding units, and when combined with the player's powerful general skills, this system allows for strategic decision-making. For instance, players can secure rewards without necessarily engaging in combat, offering a fresh take on victory.

The combat in "Millennium Strategy" is fast-paced, requiring players to make decisions within a continuous flow of time. The timing, combination, and sequence of hero attacks, skill unleashing, and card deployment directly influence the outcome of battles. This dynamic system keeps players engaged and challenged, as each choice can be pivotal.

  • Books: After a victorious battle, players have the chance to acquire books of various philosophical types, which confer bonuses or introduce new combat mechanics for the entire team.
  • Equipment: Equipping heroes with different weapons allows players to tailor their combat strategies to their preferences, creating a personalized playstyle for each character.
  • Advancement and Enhancement: Skill points earned from battles can be allocated to improve the descriptive effects and abilities of heroes. Through wise distribution of these points, players can continuously strengthen their hero teams, ensuring a dynamic and evolving gaming experience.

Supports direct in-game mod creation for card making, with full support for visual interaction, no need to reverse-engineer the game, nor install dozens of GBs of editors and IDEs. The game includes a built-in text editor, requiring just a couple of images and a few lines of Lua code. It also provides a rich feature panel, with syntax, interfaces, and common functions to help players create quickly.
