Why Early Access?

“Roomballs is a passion project developed solo by me, Daniel Perdomo, over the past two years. I’ve poured all my available time, love, and energy into building the foundations of a game I truly believe in. The core gameplay is already in place and fully playable, but there’s still a long way to go to reach the full vision I have for the Roomballs universe.

Early Access gives me the chance to keep growing this game with the support of a community who believes in it. With your feedback and support, I hope to take it to the next level—adding new features, modes, polish, and everything needed to turn this project into something truly special.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access for about a year. However, this may change depending on how development progresses and the level of community support and engagement.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The difference between Early Access and the final version will be significant. The current version already includes online and local gameplay, matchmaking, ranking systems, customization, and multiple arenas. But the final release is intended to expand much further.

Planned additions include:

Bots and AI opponents

Solo mode and offline challenges

An in-game Academy to learn and master the game

Party modes and mini-games

Clans, seasons, and social features

Progression systems that reward players with unlocks over time

These features reflect the scope I’m aiming for, but development will adapt based on feedback and priorities from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game already offers:

Fully playable online and offline matches

Up to 8 players online, including split-screen up to 4 players

Cross-play between local and online players

Competitive matchmaking with MMR and ranking by country and globally

Character customization with skins and accessories

Unlockable content and missions

Several playable arenas

Everything that is currently available is unlocked for Early Access players while the full progression system is being built.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Early Access offers full access to the current content for a single purchase. The final version may be free-to-play, with monetization through cosmetic items, packs, or battle passes. Players who join during Early Access will retain all progress and receive exclusive content as founding supporters.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I want Roomballs to grow with the community. I’ll be actively listening to player feedback through the Steam Community forums and the official Roomballs Discord server. I’m fully open to suggestions and ideas—while I have a strong vision, I want the game to evolve based on what players enjoy most.

Updates won’t be daily, but I plan to release at least one update per week and keep Early Access players informed on what’s coming next and what’s being worked on.”
