THE CLOCK DOESN’T SAVE YOU.

You have twenty minutes to build enough firepower to survive the horde. Then the real fight begins.

In ZERO DISTANCE, your weapon handles targeting and firing. You handle movement, positioning, and every upgrade choice that keeps your operator alive as the infected grow faster, heavier, and harder to escape.

Push the right weapon and support item far enough and they fuse into a RED SYNERGY—a build-changing transformation such as REDLINE RIFLE, CONFIRMED KILL, or BACKDRAFT.

At 20:00, the final boss arrives. Kill it and the infected stop spawning—but the run is not over. Follow the extraction marker across the battlefield and reach the helicopter to get out alive.

CHOOSE YOUR OPERATOR

• Soldier — turn reliable assault-rifle fire into overwhelming volume.

• Police Officer — deliver heavy revolver shots with brutal impact and knockback.

• Engineer — lob grenades into packed lanes and turn the battlefield into a blast zone.

• Farmer — bank ricocheting shotgun pellets through the horde.

• Sharpshooter — send critical sniper rounds through entire lanes of infected.

• Pyro — control crowds at close range with a broad, fuel-fed flamethrower and spreading Scorch.

Each operator has a distinct primary weapon and a permanent three-branch upgrade tree.

BUILD PAST REASON

Every level-up pushes your run in a new direction.

Improve your primary weapon through 20 levels, evolve your maximum health, movement speed, XP collection, and item capacity, or upgrade the support items you carry.

Choose from twelve support items, each with ten upgrade levels:

• Pipe Bomb — lure tightly packed infected before blowing them apart.

• Sprint Boots — dash through danger and eventually leave fire behind.

• Barbed Wire — slow, bleed, and punish anything crossing the line.

• Flare Gun — draw the horde into burning kill zones and call in heavier punishment.

• Claymore Mine — plant a directional answer to whatever is following you.

• Combat Drone — designate crowded ground for a missile flyby.

• MG Turret — deploy temporary automatic fire support.

• Defibrillator — survive critical damage, heal, and discharge chain lightning through nearby infected.

• Spotter Binoculars — automatically expose powerful visible targets to increased damage and critical hits.

• Ammo Box — store instant reloads that supply empowered magazines.

• Fire Axe — automatically swing through nearby infected and knock them back when they get too close.

• Propane Cylinder — drop delayed explosives that detonate when infected approach or the safety fuse expires.

Evolve far enough to unlock a third support-item slot and take more of your arsenal into the final minutes.

Every primary weapon has two RED SYNERGY paths. Complete the right weapon-and-item combination and both parts of the build transform, creating twelve possible endgame synergies across the six operators.

These are not minor percentage bonuses. They change how the completed build fights.

MAKE EVERY RUN COUNT

Cash collected during a run is retained even if your operator falls.

Spend it to unlock new operators, open additional battlefields, and purchase permanent upgrades from each operator’s three-branch character tree.

Permanent progression gives future attempts a stronger beginning, but it will not finish the build for you. You still have to survive long enough to put everything together.

EVERY BATTLEFIELD CHANGES THE FIGHT

Fight through procedurally assembled versions of The City, The Suburbs, The Graveyard, The Farm, The Woods, and The Base.

Navigate dense urban blocks, wider neighbourhood streets, exposed burial grounds, open farmland, broken forest sightlines, and hardened military compounds.

Each environment changes what you can see, where you can escape, and how the horde can surround you.

SURVIVE. KILL THE BOSS. GET OUT.

The clock only gets you to the final fight. Victory means defeating the boss and reaching the extraction helicopter alive.
