What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are developing more functions and want to actively reflect user feedback, so we will proceed ahead.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to proceed with about six months of advancement.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“"Tokyo Desire will be a perfect experience when it comes to core gameplay elements. However, in the previous phase, we plan to improve and add gameplay features based on community feedback. In addition, we plan to expand the World Map. This will include five new enemy boss heroes and new monsters filled with new types of areas. In addition, clearing six new boss characters will feature the ability to play bosses. It means more card decks, tactics, and special abilities."”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The main character and 1 chapter are open. It's fun to play it over and over again.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price a little while adding new content and functions”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are planning to run an official Discord with the Steam community.”

About This Game

Build your deck. Discover the girl behind the smile.

Anime heroines. Personal stories. Roguelike deckbuilding. A chance encounter in Tokyo is only the beginning of a journey into someone's inner world.

In Tokyo Desire : Deck Builders, you play an otaku whose encounters with three heroines—Alice, Nagi, and Misuzu lead to card-based Mind Battles. Explore what they cannot quite put into words, build a deck that can carry you through, and uncover the next chapter of their stories.

Nagi, Alice, and Misuzu on a Tokyo street. Read her heart. Turn the tables. Visual novel × deckbuilding roguelike.

Walk the 3D streets. Meet the people of Tokyo.

There is a world to explore beyond your deck. Walk through a 3D Tokyo neighborhood, take in its streets and side alleys, and stop for a conversation. The heroines are not the only people you can talk to: meet the local NPCs and hear what they have to say.

Choose who to approach and where to wander next. These everyday encounters give you another reason to spend time in the city between dives into the heroines’ inner worlds.

Three heroines. Three worlds beneath the surface.

There is more to each girl than a first impression. A passing conversation on a Tokyo street can lead somewhere very different inside her mind.

  • Alice — Bunny ears, a distinctive outfit, and a world all her own. What lies behind that bold attitude?
  • Nagi — Live houses, the stage, and the memory of a day that will not end. Get to know the girl beyond the spotlight.
  • Misuzu — Precise words and carefully prepared paperwork. As she prepares for another interview, discover the story a resume cannot tell.

Follow each heroine through conversations, illustrated story moments, and battles within her mind. A new expression or an unexpected reply can make you just as eager to continue as the next addition to your deck.

Find your next card. Build your next combo.

Collect cards from battle rewards, shop for the pieces you need, and remove cards that no longer fit. Explore combinations of cards, relics, and talents to find a winning strategy for each run.

Sequence your cards to chain effects, build around defense and counters, or save your strength for a decisive turn. Adapt to what you find. Even upgrading a card brings a choice: take its standard upgrade or choose a variant that changes how it plays.

Read the enemy. Make defense count.

Enemy intents let you plan your next move. Prepare a counter for one heavy blow, brace for a flurry of hits, or commit to an attack of your own. The card you play—and when you play it—can change the fight.

Watch your plan come together through character battle animations as a card chain clicks into place or a well-prepared counter strikes back.

One more reward. One more risk.

Choose your path through battles, events, shops, and rest stops. Recover health, improve a card, or accept a contract's cost in exchange for power. As you explore an inner world, detection builds toward a confrontation with its boss. Balance the urge to improve your deck against the showdown ahead.

For the next great combo—and the next quiet moment.

If you love making a deck click and getting to know the characters behind the artwork, take a walk through Tokyo and dive into the worlds of its three heroines.

What will you build to get one step closer?
