He savors the amber candy Veloria gave him, letting the sourness erode his teeth until the taste of rust—reminiscent of Veloria’s hair—fills his mouth.

Ella
Born with Porcelain Doll Syndrome (Osteogenesis Imperfecta), she is paralyzed from the waist down and confined to her bed. Always wearing a gentle smile, she possesses a maturity far beyond her years and rarely shows intense emotion. She treats Veloria with exceptional kindness.

Grian
