What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want our players to have the most positive experience possible when playing Ocean Keeper. Early Access allows us to involve the gaming community at an early stage of development to gather feedback and suggestions. This helps us improve the game, fix bugs, and add features that are important to players. By doing so, we can create a higher quality and more engaging game that meets the needs of our users.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At the moment, we have several major updates planned that will significantly improve gameplay and add more content for players. Naturally, these updates affect the release timeline of version 1.0. As of now, we can confidently say that we plan to release Ocean Keeper 1.0 within three months of the Early Access launch. This will give us enough time to make all necessary improvements and additions, as well as test and polish the game before the official release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We can't reveal all the details, but in the full version of the game, we're planning to delight you with more diverse content, such as, bosses, artifacts, more enemies and guns. Sure, some mechanics may be deleted, but we're confident we can surprise you. We also plan to significantly enhance the graphics and optimization, as well as improve the "underwater" experience based on feedback received during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At this point, we have achieved the main milestones we set for the demo release, namely:
- Exploration of the location
- Shooting and handling different types of weapons
- Balance
- Searching for and selecting artifacts
- More main / auto-guns (currently, there are already 5 main guns and 10 auto-guns)
- Skills system
- Mining and procedural generation of caves
- Improved graphics and points of interest on the map
- Optimization
- HUB 2.0 (with improved UX and design)
Of course, we are not going to stop here. We still need to work on adding new content, improving balance, and fixing bugs reported by our players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to set a lower price for the game during Early Access to thank early adopters for their support and contributions to the development. After the Early Access phase is completed, the game's price will likely increase slightly to reflect all the added improvements and content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively engage with the community through forums, social media, and dedicated feedback platforms. Our main feedback channels currently include our Discord server and Steam discussions. Players will be able to suggest ideas, vote on new features, and report bugs. We will also provide regular updates and reports on our progress to keep the community informed about all changes and improvements in the game.”

Roadmap

About This Game

Welcome to Ocean Keeper, a mining roguelike shooter with a top-down view. Play as a Miner whose spaceship has crashed on a planet, filled with underwater monsters. Find resources and artifacts for purchasing valuable upgrades.

Use the time between each attack to power up your diver, mech, weapon or explore a new dungeon. Build automatic turrets, use drones to collect loot and improve your skills to increase your chances of survival. If you've ever wondered what would happen if you mixed Dome Keeper, Wall World and Vampire Survivors together, here's the answer!

Dozens of weapons, upgrades, and monsters are waiting for you. And all this in the subnautica style, along with sea monsters who are hunting you. The world here is dangerous,
and keeps in unknown threats.

The underwater world of Ocean Keeper consists of many biomes. You will have to travel through the locations and find the remains of a lost civilization. Discover mysterious locations, from abandoned sci-fi laboratories to mines with artifacts.

Drill caves in search of different resources to upgrade your equipment, weapons and Mech Spider. It's worth saying that the local fauna didn't like the fact that you want to mine their sources! So don't forget to exit the dungeons, and switch to a dynamic combat mode.

Ocean Keeper is ready to surprise you by massive battles with unique bosses! From a giant crab to the flying mouse, each battle will be a true challenge. We won’t reveal all the cards — there are many more. The other question is, will you have the strength to defeat them?

Forget about monotony - each new game session will open new secrets of the underwater world, and battles with sea monsters will become harder. You can use various meta upgrades and unique types of Mechs to bravely fight with every wave of monsters.
