Varför Early Access?

“The multiplayer mode for KeepUp Survival is still in the development phase and has been a part of the game since its release in 2021. However, due to recurring issues with the multiplayer, it couldn’t be marked as fully completed for the main release in 2024.

To provide more transparency and address the numerous requests from the community, this also aims to clarify that a multiplayer mode exists, as previous hints, such as those in the Community Hub, were not sufficient.

We would like to release this DLC in Early Access to inform players. This way, we can collect valuable feedback to optimize the gaming experience and ensure the multiplayer mode runs smoothly. Early Access also allows us to further refine the balance and functionality while actively considering the community's wishes.

Important: Access to the multiplayer is also available without the DLC.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“The Early Access phase for the multiplayer DLC of KeepUp Survival is expected to last approximately 6 to 12 months. During this time, we will gather community feedback and continuously improve the mode to ensure it meets expectations and runs smoothly. The exact duration will depend on development progress and the feedback we receive.”

“The Multiplayer DLC for KeepUp Survival is currently in Early Access. In the full version of the DLC, players can expect a fully optimized and expanded multiplayer experience, based on the feedback from the Early Access phase. During Early Access, we offer basic multiplayer features for testing, but in the full version, additional features, stability improvements, and game expansions will be added.

We plan to expand the multiplayer mode, refine the balance, and add new features to make cooperative survival on the island even more engaging. This may include new game modes, additional maps, and expanded interaction options. The exact scope of these features depends on the feedback and test results.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The Early Access version of the multiplayer DLC for KeepUp Survival already allows players to play together, build, craft, and explore the island cooperatively. The core multiplayer mechanics are in place, and players can connect with each other to develop survival strategies together.

However, the multiplayer mode is still in development, which means there are occasional issues, such as connection problems or replication errors in the rendering of objects and structures. These issues are known, and we are actively working on fixing them to improve stability and the overall gameplay experience.

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Since the multiplayer DLC for KeepUp Survival is and will remain completely free, there will be no price difference between the Early Access phase and the full release. All players who access the DLC during the Early Access phase will have access to its features without any additional cost. The price of the DLC will not change after the full release, as it is offered as a free addition to all players.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“The community has the opportunity to follow the development of the multiplayer DLC for KeepUp Survival. All updates, news, and changes can be viewed at any time on Steam. To involve the community more in the development process, I offer the possibility to start discussions directly on Steam. These discussions will mainly serve to collect wishes, ideas, suggestions, and feedback, allowing players to share their thoughts with others. This ensures that the players' feedback and wishes are directly incorporated into the game's development.

This expansion is in a testing phase. The multiplayer mode will be continuously developed to provide the best player experience, but we reserve the right to adjust or even discontinue the development at any time, depending on player response and interest.”
