Why Early Access?

“Our experience has taught us the importance of receiving early feedback from our players to polish and refine our games. Vigor was initially developed for console platforms, and adapting it for PC presents significant challenges. We see Early Access as a means to address all challenges and issues before the full free-to-play release. Additionally, we've prepared a major Weapon Overhaul for player testing and feedback during the Early Access period.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our goal is to keep Vigor in Early Access for approximately three months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning to shift the game to a free-to-play model upon its full release. As part of this transition, we anticipate resetting all progress made during the Early Access phase, including in-game items. Nevertheless, those who have purchased Vigor during Early Access will be able to keep all cosmetic items from the exclusive "Vigor - Reinforcements Pack".

During Early Access, we're offering players a taste of the gameplay and gathering valuable feedback to enhance the full release experience. While Early Access provides most of the basic gameplay elements, certain features are intentionally limited to align with our Early Access objectives.

Looking ahead to the full release, our plan is to make Vigor free for everyone to play, thereby opening up the game’s full array of modes, such as Encounter, Elimination, and Shootout, to all players. This move is designed so that players can get unrestricted access to all of Vigor's content, including the latest Battle Pass season and the chance to participate in possible future events like Double XP Weekends and Booster Apocalypses.

We plan to provide players with the opportunity to build their shelters without concerns about progress wipes and gain access to the in-game featured and cosmetic shop with a diverse range of cosmetic items, weapons, and skins tailored to their preferences, enhancing their gameplay experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the Early Access version, players will have access to three game modes: Encounter, Shootout, and Elimination, set in post-war Norway. It's worth noting that this version contains the Chronicles: Isolation Battle Pass Season, offering unique military-themed rewards. Vigor is a shoot'n'loot experience, where players scavenge for resources while engaging in intense combat. Please be aware that Early Access may contain bugs and issues as we refine the game based on player feedback. Certain features, like purchasing premium packs and DLCs, are disabled during this phase. Players may experience longer matchmaking times as we optimize the experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, during Early Access, players will need to purchase the "Vigor - Reinforcements Pack" to gain access to Vigor. This exclusive pack grants access to the game ahead of its full release and awards players with exclusive in-game items. However, upon the full release, Vigor will transition to a free-to-play model, opening its doors to all players without the need for the initial purchase.
The full release will introduce a number of additional content through various add-ons and DLCs. Players will be able to dive into and explore a huge variety of cosmetic items available in the in-game cosmetic and featured store, including an array of weapons and weapon skins to personalize your gameplay experience. Prices will vary depending on the item, offering players the flexibility to choose enhancements that suit their preferences and playstyle.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We intend to employ a variety of methods to gather feedback and engage with the community, including Discord, Steam Discussions, Social Media, dedicated surveys, and processing feedback through our dedicated Feedback Tracker website app. Additionally, we'll utilize in-game analytics and Steam Stats to collect anonymous data.”
