Shelf Life is an action FPS set in a near future conglomerate, that will seem eerily familiar if you spend your time around online dumpster fires. Use your arsenal of weapons to shoot, burn and fungible-ize your way through the Edison facility fighting a lizardy hostile takeover.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a small team of developers we want to build a community that can provide feedback, identify what needs improvement and be a part of the fun and excitement of game development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1-2 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add new levels, enemies, and weapon. We are also well on our way to implementing a heart string pulling conclusion to the story of a CEO who faces the downfall of his company and discovers his employees' true opinions of him.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There are 4 levels currently implemented out of our planned 6. As of right now you travel through your workplace interacting with coworkers on your way to your first day as a human testing dummy. After taking a bullet and passing out you awake to fight your way back through the office that has been taken over by a rival corporation. This culminates in you shooting and burning your way through a hoard of data hungry lizard people in the headquarters of a failing social media company.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Our prices will not change once we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through our Discord server, where you can provide feedback and share your thoughts directly with the development team. Additionally, we will actively monitor and participate in discussions on Steam’s discussion boards.”

About This Game

Shelf Life is a first person shooter set in a world where certain multibillion dollar companies would much rather be living in. You are a human ballistics dummy who finds himself in the middle of a hostile takeover. The only way to escape with your life is to end the merger by tanking the company's stock, something your CEO seems to be already doing every other week now.

Travel through levels that were dreamed up by society's most deserving of billions of dollars. Armed with a rocket pistol, a novelty lighter that can't legally be called a flamethrower and a laser engraving rifle that shoots NFTs, you are well equipped to defeat the reptilian drones of your rival company Para.

Inspired by the genre defining shooters of the late 90's and early 2000's. Get ready to outsmart your enemies in an arms race of tactics and quick thinking.
