Miksi Early Access?

ATLYSS is ultimately an unfinished game, with more content and features requiring completion to consider the game being finalized. I've chosen to make this project Early Access a vertical slice experience rather than in pre-production, so that there's plenty of things to do to get an idea what the game is going for.

Developing an online action RPG game takes time. Because of this, it's undetermined for how long exactly. I would like to set a reasonable goal to give myself at least another year.

The game is planned to have 3 major over-world zones, one of which is the zone you start in, with 2 dungeons in each of them. Each of the 3 primary classes will have a class advancement in the future as well, containing more skills to utilize.

After finalizing the game, dedicated hosting for multiplayer will be considered. A lot of the groundwork for dedicated hosting is set, but hasn't been focused on due to the higher focus on steam lobby hosting.

As of early October 2024, a quarter of the game has been established. In this moment in time, the first over-world zone and its two dungeons are fully playable.

No, the game will be priced the same amount as it stands in Early Access.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

While this is mainly a solo-development effort, I am always looking to involve myself with the feedback and community surrounding the game in regards to systems / bugs / issues needing to be addressed, but ultimately focusing on the core development first-hand.
