What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Dungeon and Diners is a unique blend of dungeon crawling and culinary creativity, and we want the community to help shape its evolution. Early Access allows players to experience the game early while providing valuable feedback to refine mechanics, enhance features, and create a more immersive experience. Your input will directly influence development, ensuring the game grows into something truly special.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming for around 12 months in Early Access, but we’re committed to taking the time needed to deliver a fully polished experience. Development will continue until we feel the game is feature-complete and fully realized. Player feedback will play a key role in shaping the final version, and we’ll be actively refining the game based on community input to ensure it reaches its full potential”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Dungeon and Diners is envisioned to be a more expansive and richly layered experience than what players will initially encounter in Early Access. While the Early Access version provides the foundational gameplay, our roadmap for the full version includes the addition of several new playable characters, each bringing a unique flair and new strategies to the game. Players can look forward to a compelling narrative that unfolds through interactions with a cast of unique NPCs, each with their own stories and quests.

A significant aspect of the full release will be the meta-progression system. This will provide both players and their items with long-term development goals, adding depth to the gameplay as players advance. Items will have their own progression, allowing for customization and power-ups that persist across sessions.

While we aim to achieve all these features, we are committed to a development process that is flexible and responsive to the feedback we receive during Early Access. We're not setting these plans in stone but are sharing our vision and direction, which we will adapt as needed to ensure the best possible gaming experience for our community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

  • Four unique characters with special abilities during dungeon gameplay.
  • A 10-floor dungeon with scaling challenges and rewards.
  • A relic system providing variable bonuses and upgradable options for diverse runs.
  • Recipe leveling to improve the diner experience.
  • Stat boosts upon character leveling for enhanced progression.
  • A foundation for community-driven growth and feature expansion.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the plan for Dungeon and Diners is to have a slight price increase upon the full release of the game. This price adjustment reflects the additional content, features, and polish that the full version will offer. Early Access players have the opportunity to purchase the game at a lower price, recognizing their contribution and feedback which are invaluable to the game’s development process. We want to reward early supporters with this preferential pricing, while also being transparent about our intentions for the game's pricing structure in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are committed to an interactive development process with our community. This includes regular updates to share progress, gathering feedback through forums and surveys, and adapting the game based on players' experiences and suggestions. Community involvement is key to refining gameplay, balancing mechanics, and ensuring that Dungeon and Diners is a game that our players will love.”

Our current focus is on perfecting the Demo build. We’re busy gathering player feedback, squashing bugs, and refining core systems—especially the dynamic interplay between diner operations and dungeon adventures. Soon, you’ll experience:

  • Enhanced combat effects (like a slow effect on the Archer’s Rain of Arrows ability)

  • Polished town mechanics, ensuring every shop and service—from the General Store to the Diner—operates seamlessly

  • A richer audio experience that brings every location to life
