«TL;DR: I'm a solo developer and I want to use Early Access to make Hexistence go from a good game to a great one. The plan is to release updates every two weeks with new content, fixes, and incorporating feedback. To thank your support, Hexistence will be discounted during EA! By putting Hexistence into the hands of the players, I can make an already fun experience even better :D»

«I believe the game is going be in early access for around a year. I've been working on it for 28 months now and I believe a three year development time should be enough to add all the content and polish that I aspire to.»

«Working with the community is the heart of why Hexistence is going Early Access. Throughout the Early Access process I would like to be closely working with the community through Discord to improve the game.

Content:
Community members will have the chance to have their own card ideas implemented into Hexistence! Every suggestion will be seriously looked at anywhere from design to aesthetics. If you have an idea for a neat permanent, a wicked spell or an awesome ethereal, just let me know!

Balancing:
Nobody is better at discovering broken strategies than a thriving community. Through listening to your feedback, balance will be continually refined.

Bugs:
With new content coming in, there is bound to be more issues. I believe that having a bug free experience is key in immersing yourself into the game.»

Hexistence is a Roguelike Tower Defense Deckbuilder where each run unfolds on a procedural hexagonal grid that you expand yourself. Build your defense by playing cards to place towers or cast spells while managing resources and adapting your strategy to increasingly demanding waves.

⏣ ⬡ Build your defense ⬡ ⏣

Your deck is the core of your strategy. Each card can be played by paying its cost to place towers, apply upgrades, or manipulate the terrain, or it can be recycled to generate resources that allow you to play other cards.

⏣ ⬡  Expand the terrain ⬡ ⏣

Expand your terrain to begin the wave. You can strategically choose where the path will grow to alter the route of the mobs or open new expansion lines. The way you expand the terrain determines the efficiency of your towers and the rewards you obtain.

⏣ ⬡ Real‑time waves ⬡ ⏣

During the wave, you can continue playing cards, casting spells, or recycling those you don’t need to gain additional resources. Pressure increases progressively, forcing you to adjust your defense in real time and react to increasingly complex mob patterns.

At the end of each wave, you’ll earn rewards that may include tower upgrades, new cards, relics… Every choice influences how your deck evolves and the possibilities available for the next wave.

  • Restore the Ethereals: Help the Ethereals enjoy the Restored Hexistence by dispelling the Aether within them
