Miksi Early Access?

We've chosen Early Access because we want to offer players the best possible gaming experience. To do so, player feedback is essential. Through this process we aim to enrich the game with new characters, stages, and mechanics while focusing on refining the gameplay's balance and difficulty. Community suggestions matter to us tremendously. In other words, it's the compass that will guide our ongoing development. We truly believe that by closely collaborating with our players, we'll create a high-quality game that everyone loves to play.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Based on our current estimates, we anticipate the game will stay in the Early Access stage for around 6 to 9 months. However, please note that the nature and complexity of character, feature, and stage suggestions from the community could potentially impact this timeline.

The final version aims to offer not only a greater variety of content but also more optimizations to ensure accessibility for a wider range of players.

New playable characters, each featuring a unique mutation that serves as a natural gameplay modifier

Unique upgrade cards for each character
New enemy and boss types
Additional achievements and mutation tree options

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is fully playable, with two unique characters, four stages (maps), five difficulty modes (+ madness mode), 98 in-combat upgrades, mutation tree with up to 63 upgrades, tens of enemies and bosses (including some surprises) and plenty of fun achievements.

The price of the final product may increase slightly in proportion to the amount and complexity of the content added.

We’ve already opened a dedicated Project XSTING Discord server with an active Suggestions Forum and Bug Reports Forum to enable players to share their ideas and insights as well as submit tickets in case of any issues. Player can also follow our progress in our public Trello roadmap. We are dedicated to listening to our community and improving the game accordingly.

SUBJECT ON THE RUN!

You’re tired of being a labrat, so you make a run for it. Sure, you made it out of your cell, but it's not that easy! The entire facility is on high alert and, to get a taste of freedom, you must fight your way through the deadly WASP army. It’s time to use the mutations they planned to exploit against them!

Project XSTING is a sci-fi survival roguelite game with comic-style graphics and cyberpunk vibes. At the start of each run, you begin your escape from a random point on the map and must battle through an increasing number of enemies. Do everything you can to survive and defeat the bosses. Don't worry about overly complicated controls—just enjoy the thrill of the fight!

Every character has a base range and melee attack at their disposal. Since each protagonist suffers from a unique mutation, the style of their melee and ranged attacks varies in both visuals and scope. Therefore, your character choice significantly affects gameplay.

The key is to use these attacks to eliminate enemies and collect their life force to access power-ups, allowing you to develop your character's mutation differently during each run.

You're pitted against the highly-trained armed security forces of the H.I.V.E. Medical Corp.

They are skilled and deadly, using a variety of weapons. In addition, you must face and defeat five increasingly dangerous bosses.

You can choose to play in different stages, each offering a different visual experience. Better yet? If you’re looking for hardcore challenges, some of the stages (or stage levels) come with additional environmental hurdles.

You can also use the elements in your surroundings strategically to aid your escape. For istance:

Natural obstacles, such as rocks and trees, can be used to break down or slow down the swarms.

Areas highlighted by enemy-dispatched drones, designed to aid the enemy, can be used against them. Anyone entering the affected area suffers the consequences.
