What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Currently, we have completed the main framework of the game, along with the highly crucial skill system for the player character. Specifically, this game's skill system is intricately linked to real-life, offering a unique opportunity to learn the fundamental movements of Chinese martial arts through gameplay. It essentially serves as a simulator for martial arts basics, an idea that's been brewing for quite some time and has now materialized into a playable game. I'm excited to share my creation with everyone and eagerly anticipate feedback and suggestions from the community to further refine and enhance this game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that this game will exit its Early Access phase within approximately 12 to 18 months, with the exact timing subject to various factors during the development process. This timeline may undergo appropriate adjustments based on development progress, feedback collection, technical challenges, and other factors.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In our comprehensive version plan, the game universe is meticulously structured into two distinct realms: the Real World and the Virtual World. The Real World segment of the game immerses players in a protagonist's journey traversing from an unknown starry expanse down to Earth. Meanwhile, the Virtual World meticulously compiles and reproduces all information encountered by the player during their adventures.

We envision a progression spanning six to eight levels, centered around the exploration of life-bearing planetary civilizations during an interstellar odyssey. Players will gather diverse data, including intelligent life forms, resources, ancient ruins, and supernatural phenomena, which are then integrated into the Virtual World. Upon completion of the protagonist's primary narrative, each traversed level remains accessible for revisits, and the intelligent beings encountered along the way retain their memories of the player character.

To cater to a broad range of age groups, our full-version plan emphasizes gameplay centered on exploration, interaction, and action. Encountering each novel life form necessitates strategic interaction, necessitating understanding of their preferences, fears, and potential triggers for aggression. Some intelligent beings might even choose to accompany the protagonist on their journey.

Throughout the game, an intelligent entity serves as a constant source of information and assistance to the protagonist. As the player accumulates knowledge, they will gain the ability to create a biological form for this AI companion, fostering a deeper bond.

In our comprehensive plan, players are relieved of the burden of manually gathering resources during their explorations. Instead, they simply need to mark locations, and the ship's resource module efficiently handles the subsequent acquisition process.

The Early Access version showcases a foundational skill system inspired by Chinese martial arts, as this heritage represents one of the earliest cultural traditions incorporated into the game's Virtual World. Within this realm, players can freely combine and utilize martial arts techniques in combat. In contrast, the Real World segment prioritizes exploration and interaction, offering a diverse and immersive gaming experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current status of the Early Access version is that the overall game framework has been completed, with functional system settings and a save system in place. Players can automatically save their progress upon exiting the game.

Currently available for testing is a comprehensive skill system, which, in this version, holds greater significance than the combat system. Players can already configure their preferred combinations of martial arts moves using the skill system, and even reference and learn these moves in real life outside of the game. Some skill moves are highly challenging and require extensive training to execute smoothly. If you manage to learn and proficiently perform all the basic movements of Chinese martial arts, you have successfully completed the objectives of the Early Access version.

Please note that the combat system is not yet fully implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During the Early Access period leading up to the official release, there will be no gradual increase in price due to the introduction of new content or features. The current price will remain unchanged. However, upon the official release of the full version, the price may be adjusted upwards commensurate with the game's content and functionality.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will regularly collect players' opinions and suggestions on the content of the game related to Chinese martial arts, development progress, functions, and other aspects through community discussions and other means. We will then sort out and analyze the collected feedback and make corresponding adjustments and optimizations in game development in a timely manner to ensure that the game can better meet the needs of players.”

About This Game

This is an indie game centered around Traditional Chinese Martial Arts (TCMA).

Currently, the game is being developed solely by a programmer. The development progress has reached a milestone with the completion of the entire game framework, encompassing menus, UI, automatic save features, an achievement system, an interactive framework, and a foundational action system. The highlight of this version revolves around an extensive skill system, which is the primary showcase and gameplay focus. The combat system is not yet completed.

The skill system boasts over 150 fundamental movements drawn from Traditional Chinese Martial Arts, allowing players to freely mix and match these actions to create their own unique combinations. Theoretically, the number of possible combinations exceeds 10 billion, offering endless possibilities for players to express themselves.

There are no skill books in this game; instead, all skills are acquired from the AI characters encountered throughout the game. Each AI character possesses a randomly configured set of skills. Players can interact with any AI character to learn their skills, and in future versions, AI characters may also learn from players' skills, albeit with the possibility of refusal unless the player offers something they desire.

Moreover, every AI character in the game periodically demonstrates their acquired martial arts moves. Players can pause to observe and decide whether to learn a particular move, adding an element of discovery and personalization to the learning process.

While the game, at its surface, may seem like a mere showcase of martial arts skills, its true value transcends the game itself. It serves as a window into the profoundness and richness of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts culture. Players can not only appreciate but also learn each move within the game, as every action is based on practices by martial arts enthusiasts.

Chinese martial arts do not advocate violence but have evolved into a widely accessible fitness activity and competitive sport. In China, people of all ages, from three-year-olds to octogenarians, engage in martial arts for physical exercise. Thus, Traditional Chinese Martial Arts are suitable for learners of any age worldwide.

Chinese martial arts embody a comprehensive system that integrates the spirit of martialism, offensive and defensive techniques, internal and external cultivation, patriotism, chivalrous spirit, as well as traditional culture and philosophical thoughts.

Chinese martial arts represent a legacy!

And this legacy knows no boundaries!
