You're the king, and one day you'll die. Throneheart is a medieval dynasty city builder where nothing comes from nothing: your people farm, bake, eat, buy and sell, and every loaf is carried by hand. Turn an empty plot into a realm. Without an heir, it ends. Happy people grow it; angry ones revolt.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Throneheart is already a fully playable city-building and dynasty game, but we want to shape its final stretch together with players. Early Access lets us balance the economy, politics and events with real feedback, and decide what to polish or add based on what the community enjoys most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan 6 to 12 months. This may change depending on feedback and how development goes.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throneheart is already complete in city and dynasty management. The next big step is taking the realm beyond the village. For the full version we plan neighbouring realms ruled by other houses, with diplomacy, alliances and war; open-field battles with armies far larger than today's raids; and the conquest and defence of territory. We also want to add exploration beyond your settlement, deeper interaction with buildings, more tutorial lessons, more languages and balance improvements.

These systems will grow out of what already exists: marriages with neighbouring houses, guards, bandit raids and dynastic succession. These are plans with no fixed dates, and the order may change based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable and includes a guided tutorial. Every new realm begins on a randomly generated map. You found a village, grow it into a town, manage the economy, defend against raids, and guide your dynasty across generations: each ruler has their own traits and bears your house's coat of arms, and you can walk through your realm in first person. Expect rough edges, balance changes and occasional bugs. Saves from earlier versions may break between major updates. What to expect today: city management, the physical economy (every good is made and carried by your people) and the dynasty systems are complete and deep. Combat against raids is still basic, and first-person mode is for walking through your own settlement; there is no open-world exploration yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase when the game reaches 1.0, as more content is added. Early supporters buy at the lower price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read every review and every post in the Steam discussions. Players can report bugs and suggest changes there, and we will publish regular update notes explaining what changed and why.”

About This Game

Found a village. Grow it into a realm. Guide a dynasty through the generations.

Throneheart is a medieval city builder and dynasty sim where every villager has a name, an age and a family, every loaf of bread is baked by someone, and every ruler carries your house's name and arms.

Early Access
The game is fully playable and open-ended: your dynasty rules for as long as its bloodline survives. We are polishing it with the community. Expect rough edges and balance changes.

BUILD A LIVING VILLAGE

Lay roads, mark out house lots and plant fields, and your families raise their own homes. Build a church for your people.

As your village prospers, it grows from a settlers' camp into a town, with burgher houses, a great church and a castle.

Every new realm begins on a randomly generated map: rivers, the pond, woods, stone and iron change places, and the trade road crosses the map from one edge to the other.

FROM WHEAT TO BREAD

Bread doesn't come from nowhere. Wheat has to be harvested, milled and baked, and every step is carried by hand by your people. Prices follow supply and demand, and families run their own market stalls.

If a road is missing or a storehouse is empty, you will see it in your village.

A DYNASTY THAT REMEMBERS

Design your house's coat of arms and motto in the Book of Lineage and see them on banners, house flags and your ruler's cape.

Marry into neighbouring houses, raise heirs with the tutor you choose and secure the succession. Every ruler carries traits that shape your realm, and if the bloodline dies out, your reign ends.

CHOICES WITH CONSEQUENCES

Hold audiences in your throne room, settle disputes between neighbours and judge crimes. Witnesses can lie, and if you blame the innocent, the truth comes out days later.

Famines, feuds, visitors and raids test your rule, and some options only unlock if you prepared for them.

WALK YOUR REALM

Leave the top-down view and walk your streets in first person: your fields, your church, your people at work. Step inside homes and taverns, where a bard plays at night.

MADE WITH CARE

Throneheart is made by Diamond Soft Works. Early Access means we want to hear from you. Every review and every message helps shape what comes next.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All in-game text was written by the developer in Brazilian Portuguese. The translations into English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese were made with AI and checked with AI; they have not been reviewed by a human translator yet. The store page texts were translated the same way. All 3D models, animation and sound effects are built procedurally by the game's own code; no image, 3D-model or audio generative AI was used to make them. Our music is licensed from royalty-free libraries. No AI is used while you play.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Throneheart depicts medieval life, justice and war in a stylised low-poly style, without blood. Villagers, including children, can die from hunger, cold, disease or animal attacks, and soldiers and bandits fall in raids; bodies stay visible under a shroud until they are buried. As lord, you can order punishments on the town square, watched by a crowd: the stocks, flogging, cutting off a hand (shown as text), public hanging and beheading. Even a child caught stealing can be sentenced to flogging or to lose a hand. Taverns serve ale. There is no nudity or sexual content.
