Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in Early Access for at least a year. We have an idea of what the game will look and feel like when it's ready, but players' feedback will equally have an impact on that.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Witchspire features all the fundamental systems of the game including combat, character customization, exploration, base building, creature collection and skill systems. This is the beginning of the journey, and the direction of these updates will be guided by both our own ideas and the feedback we receive throughout Early Access. We are planning a larger world for you and your friends to explore, filled with new creatures, spells and story to uncover.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The 'About This Game' section shows what Witchspire presently has to offer. We have multiple biomes, a number of creatures to challenge or befriend, and most, if not all, of the core gameplay mechanics are in place. Long story short, our ambition has always been to launch in Early Access with a highly playable game that, on day one, is fun across the board and has plenty of depth.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Witchspire will have a reduced price throughout Early Access to reflect the work being done on the game. When we come out of Early Access, our plan is to slightly increase the price to better represent the 1.0 version and polish of the game. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We love joining in the discussions with our community and are planning to host Q&As, feedback sessions, playtests, and more to ensure a regular dialogue with our players. Players can expect to see us regularly in the Steam Forums and Discord, and posting to other social channels. We'll update the community with Developer Logs as we make progress on the game, while also continuing to pay attention to thoughts and ideas as game development progresses.”

About This Game

Enter the hand-crafted wilds of Witchspire, a 1-6 player open world survival crafting adventure where you and your coven must fight back against the corruption spreading across the land. Master your magic, build your Sanctuary, and push deeper into an increasingly dangerous world.

Venture alone or gather your coven in online co-op. Earn Luminaries as your power grows, unlocking new ways to shape your witch and the role you play within your coven. The creatures of Witchspire are more than enemies to overcome. Defeat them in battle for a chance to form bonds with their spirits. Familiars can be levelled up, learn new skills and support you with crafting, puzzles and combat.

Craft your own weapons with gems and sigils that imbue different skills and bonuses. Salvage and find rare loot to discover your favourite weapon combination. Create unique wands and spellblades that can launch healing bolts, piercing magic missiles, or waves of flames at your friends and foes. 

Lead the attack or support your allies with your chosen playstyle as you fight your way across the land, levelling up your gear and honing your playstyle. Blink through danger, throw spells, and fight your way through dungeons and encampments. 

The wilds of Witchspire are alive with power, danger, and resources waiting to be claimed. Use your powers to gather what you need from the world around you. Call forth forests, send magical pickaxes to harvest stone, and use your powers to overcome places ordinary travellers could never reach. Every expedition provides something useful, whether it helps you craft, build, recover or prepare for what lies ahead.

Build a Sanctuary that gives your coven a foothold in the wilds. Use astral projection to move freely when building, shaping rooms, placing crafting stations, and creating a home where witches and Familiars can gather between expeditions. As your Sanctuary grows, your Familiars can help bring it to lift. Assign them to help craft and tend stations while you explore.
