What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build the game based on user feedback. To achieve this, we've created a community on Discord and actively promote other social networks such as Twitter and Reddit, as well as conduct giveaways. Additionally, we plan to start a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. We aim to include multiple game modes, such as cooperative mode, wave-based survival mode, and sandbox mode. We also plan to add a PvE campaign in the future. Furthermore, there are numerous ideas for units and factions, but we want to prioritise user desires.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least another year - we're looking at these timelines based on our desires, ideas, and the capabilities of the development team. We plan to release updates gradually based on features. Additionally, we aim to adjust unit balance for a more engaging PvP experience based on player’s feedback. Currently, we're regularly releasing new builds for Steam, working on bugs, and adding new features. We hope to maintain this pace at least. Ideally, aside from hotfixes, we'd like to update the game with a new feature or content every one to two months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Here's a list of planned changes for the full version compared to the Early Access version:

Units, base, and ship customization feature
Store with cosmetics
League system
Weekly PvP challenges
Daily quests and missions
New co-op mode
2v2 PvP mode
PvE survival mode with waves
Cooperative PvE survival mode with waves
Sandbox mode for testing units and strategies
Battle pass
New bug-like race
New biomes and planets
New maps and new mechanics on battle maps
New currencies
PvE campaign.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has fully implemented the core combat mechanics, developed several maps, introduced three different races, and created several dozen units in total. We've also established a system for purchasing and unlocking units, player progression, PvP and PvE modes, leaderboards, and a tutorial. The game has undergone bug testing and provides an enjoyable and fun experience for both solo and cooperative play. We've received positive feedback from influencers and media, as well as from players in our Discord channel. On average, players should spend at least 10 hours of gameplay to unlock all units and explore all aspects of the game. However, leaderboards and the PvE mode will remain accessible afterward, allowing players to continue playing for as long as they desire.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently have no plans to change the price of the game, as we consider the current price fair. However, after introducing in-game purchases and releasing the game, we would like to have the option to change the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to engage with the community through our official Discord server and other social media platforms. Additionally, we aim to utilise the Steam Community Hub to gather and process user feedback. We are also considering the option of creating developer vlogs and development diaries to keep the community informed about our progress.”

About This Game

Expansion VR  is a tower rush video game which puts players in games featuring two players (1v1) in which the objective is to destroy the Opponent’s Command Tower.

The Game combines elements from collectible card games, tower defense, and multiplayer online battle arena. Players compose their deck, progress through battles and unlock new units and abilities.

Prior to each battle, players construct a deck of units and abilities which they use to attack and defend against their opponent.

During the battle Players manage energy - a resource used to call reinforcments. Skillful combination and placement of units is a way to outsmart opponents and achieve victory.

The Game is set in an immersive sci-fi environment in Virtual Reality.

These are your asteroids, your mining space.

In the vast expanses of outer space, a battle for valuable resources has unfolded. Your Company, engaged in the lucrative mining operations, is faced with unwanted competition. To protect your interests and maintain control over valuable resources, you must gather your experienced miners, repurpose mining equipment, and enlist the help of auxiliary forces - privateers and aliens.

Lead your Company and battle for control over the space riches and expand dominance further and further.
