Why Early Access?

“We've been working hard on Band Mates for over 4 years. The game is already a polished and complete experience, but we want community involvement and feedback to ensure everything flows in the best possible way. There are also big extra features we'd love to continue to develop if we have the player base to support it!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We'd love to keep growing Band Mates as much as possible. Depending on interest and support, we'd probably keep going indefinitely, but for the initial expansions we have in mind, it would probably be at least six months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Deep customization options are an important part of our vision for Band Mates. We'd love to have a robust character editing system so players can really make their band unique and fit any style they desire. Jam Space customization is another big layer to that. Beyond that, we're really interested to listen to player feedback and build out features that make Band Mates the ultimate video game music jamming platform.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The music-making tools are all full functional and offer a complete, deep, and infinitely replayable experience. There's currently no visual customization of the band members or the jam space.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may choose to increase the price of the game if we feel the value of new included content justifies it, although some content may provided as DLC instead.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We love playing Band Mates, and there's many different ways to play. We want to know how you play Band Mates and what kind of changes and features would help to make the game even better. We want Band Mates to be a game for everyone, and we'll need your feedback to get there!”
