About This Game

STORY

The humanity was destroyed by quantum artificial intelligence. Omniscient, a global service program powered by quantum processors, was the most advanced program ever created. Everyone died in less than a day. No one remembers how or why, because there's no one left to remember.

The fact that Kenzo is alive is due to a set of circumstances. He was artificially grown after the apocalypse by Acine, an assistant AI, deep underground in an isolated place called CELL. It was meant to be a secure residential complex for the powers that were. The one Kenzo lives in was never completed. It is barely operational. He doesn't even know why he's there, as he's not authorized to possess that information. He had limited opportunities to socialize and receive education through social simulations and Acine, but it’s not enough to maintain his mental stability. He seems to be okay, but he’s not. And as much as he'd like to meet anyone alive, is he truly ready for it? Why is he there? What happened, and does it still matter? And what is it like - to live in a world of non-user-centric programs?

FYI: Some of the game's dialogs contain technical terminology and references that may not be self-explanatory to players without informational technology education.

CHARACTERS

Be cautious with them. In a world where it’s impossible for a human to distinguish simulation from reality, everything and everyone may not be what they seem.

Acine - your friendly AI assistant. SIS (Service Intelligence System) was developed by Riten Consulting Group, located in Tokyo, Japan. System's purpose was to support the well-being of CELL complex inhabitants, but it was still in its early stages of development. The latest stable versions were used by CELL construction teams as an AI assistant for their work... but they weren’t validated for commercial use, failing almost every communication security test.

Enaid - a stunningly attractive girl; however, her behavior is difficult to associate with her appearance. She is visibly stressed by some strange perception issues that she struggles to explain, and she always looks tired and disoriented. Talking to her can be challenging because she tends to speak in a very complicated manner.

Lav - a lively and communicative girl who makes a surprisingly (and even suspiciously) sane impression. While easygoing and open-minded, she sometimes appears uncompromising to unnecessary extremes. These extremes evolve over time, suddenly revealing her most... uncomfortable traits.

Hirai is attentive and perceptive. While this is usually comforting, at times it can be overwhelming, making communication with her uneasy. Moreover, she is very hard to read due to her weak emotional reactions. It is usually known what she feels because she says so rather than because it is visible.
