Why Early Access?

“Tinkerlands is a game developed by a small team united by a shared dream of adding new ideas to the survival-adventure genre. We are passionate about building a like-minded community and including its feedback over the course of development. We have many new ideas to include, and we want to ensure they are implemented in a way that is meaningful to our players, we believe that Early Access provides the best environment for this to happen.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are aiming for only about 6-8 months in Early Access, but we have plans to gather feedback from players to decide on a more definitive timeframe. It's important to us to provide a full and polished product, that both delivers on our promised vision and the enjoyment of Early Access players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For now, we aim for:

• Major content expansions: One to three major islands with new biomes, including the final biome, along with additional minor islands.
  
• New gameplay systems: Additional mechanics beyond what is introduced in Early Access.
  
• Endgame content: The final boss, cutscenes, and full story progression.
  
• Expanded crafting & exploration: More resources, decorations, crafting, and cooking recipes.
  
• Expanded NPC interactions: A full NPC rework, allowing NPCs to assist players by performing tasks, aiding in combat, and offering deeper interactions.
  
• Localization: Additional language support based on demand from Early Access players.

The list might be prolonged depending on the feedback we get during the Early Access release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes:

• Playable in both singleplayer and multiplayer (up to 4 players online).
  
• World exploration: A large main island, three major islands, and multiple minor islands to discover.
  
• Challenging encounters: More than 10 unique bosses.
  
• A dynamic world: A class system and events that change the state of islands, making the world feel alive.
  
• Side activities: Fishing, farming, cooking, sailing, navigation, NPC quests, and more.
  
• Content variety: Over 2,000 items and objects, with more than 500 handcrafted structures combined with procedural generation.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price between Early Access and Full release, according to the increase of content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are a small team, and we’ve already worked closely with the community during the game’s demo phase to find and fix bugs while improving Tinkerlands based on player feedback. Community involvement remains essential to us - we will actively listen to our growing player base, ensuring that the game evolves in a way that aligns with both our vision and the expectations of our community.”
