Varför Early Access?

“We've decided to put Epic Eon in an early access state because we want and still need to create globally connected storylines across all of our projects, alongside further balancing of factions, their monarchs, and units with help from our community and testers.
Additionally, since this is our first released game, we aim to grow our community and provide them with the opportunity to have a positive impact on Epic Eon by engaging in conversations with developers and other community members, exchanging ideas and goals.”

“We don't know precisely, but Epic Eon will be in early access until we finish writing our globally connected storylines and incorporate ideas from our other projects, developers, and the community.
We're working with love and passion on the Epic Eon game, aiming for a rapid release of the full version. Our plan is to release the full version of Epic Eon by Spring 2024.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“For the full version of Epic Eon, our plan is to create completely connected storyline worlds within our global narrative. We aim to optimize and balance units and factions even further, with the assistance of our community and testers.
Additionally, we plan to add features like voice actors for campaigns and cutscenes, as well as more units, additional side quest campaigns, and a greater number of skirmish maps.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Currently, Epic Eon is fully playable game offering players access to all the features necessary to enjoy RTS-type games. This includes main campaigns, a fully operational skirmish mode, functional AI logic, a unit collection inventory, a combat system, and various factions to play with, among many other elements and features.
While bugs and glitches may occur, we've ensured the game's stability even in this early access state.

However, as mentioned earlier, there are still some features we need to add, and we aim to build a community with whom we'll be open to further integrations and optimizations.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“The price will not change when Epic Eon leaves early access. We believe that for an indie game in the RTS genre, we've already achieved a balance between quality and cost.
Adding more features to the game during this early access stage will only enhance its quality without affecting the cost. Creating a great community for our games is the most valuable aspect!”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We have our free public community Discord server - https://discord.com/invite/TETu3nwwxW - where users can join and communicate with developers and other players in specific channels.

Additionally, we're planning to use the YouTube platform - https://www.youtube.com/@HistriaGames - for livestreams showcasing the behind-the-scenes creation of Epic Eon. Users can comment during these livestreams, and channel members will have significant influence on the development process.

This approach enables users to maintain frequent communication with our developers and the community.”

Epic Eon is a single-player real-time strategy game set in a fantasy world that is a bit different from other RTS genre games. It does not feature any workers, buildings, or resource gathering. Instead, players control a single monarch leading a faction, enabling the creation of units, capturing runes for resources, and engaging in combat to conquer all other factions and their monarchs.

In this world, diverse factions coexist: orcs, humans, dwarfs, elves, undead, barbarians, animals, and many more. Each faction has its own history, traditions, unique units, and monarchs.

CAMPAIGNS


Dive into diverse campaigns tailored for each race. Defend against ambushes, assist the greedy dwarfs, or unleash your inner unstoppable Orc warrior, and much, much more.

Each mission boasts a unique atmosphere, ambiance, and distinct goals. Some missions completely alter perspective by seamlessly merging RTS and RPG hybrid elements.

In the Epic Eon global campaigns, you might find yourself playing as one faction, attacking in one timeline, and later defending against that same faction in another timeline on identical maps, each with its unique goals and objectives.


SKIRMISH


When you're in the mood for a different kind of challenge, there's a skirmish mode. Here, you can test your strategies against the AI and measure the strength of your tactics.

Each faction has its own strengths and weaknesses. Some factions are stronger than others, but even a weaker faction can win against a stronger one if its unit collection is far superior!

Players should learn about each faction's units and their types to understand how to counter them on the battlefield.

The Artificial Intelligence employs simple yet strong logic sets that can occasionally learn from previous mistakes, making it progressively better. It also adapts by changing its faction monarchs and unit collections.

For now, Skirmish mode is specifically designed for single-player gameplay.


MODES


Getting kinda bored with the current skirmishes? Feel like they're a bit too easy? Well, enable some extra settings to make things more interesting and, for some real thrill, enable the Enigma option. Get ready for some wild and random events that'll totally spice up the gameplay!


COLLECTIONS


If you're getting a bit tired of the same old regular units, no worries, we got you covered. Check out the Collection feature where you can handpick the units you want for your favorite faction. It's like a customized army for your gaming pleasure. Plus, you can read up on each unit and find out their roles in the game's lore.
